Sundays episode saw the taxi driver making a racist comment on Facebook calling one of the girl a Pikey which I understand would be very upsetting and is obviously wrong but shouldn't it also work both ways when the travellers ALWAYS refer to non-travellers as GORGERS (I remember this word being used over 30 years ago) when I was at school when I see on T.V. travellers saying we'd never marry a Gorger because they don't clean enough,live in houses, use rude words etc..etc... It makes me wonder why racism doesn't work BOTH WAYS???

Thelma's going to need a long Caribbean break,or therapy,after this. I wouldn't have taken on Shannon (the pin warrior) If I were her.

sewrosie really? You warn travellers to keep an eye in their men? FFS who'd touch a traveller man with somebody else's bargepole. Possibly dodgy, certainly mysoginistic and uneducated. Hardly a catch for any self respecting woman, are they?

Most of Thelma's work comes from traveller families. I don't suppose it would take much for that work to dry up...say for example by not taking on one of the girls who thought, or her family thought should have been taken on...?

I thought it was all a bit too much it 'ooh look at me, I live a perfect life which you should all aspire to. I'm your fairy god mother' not everyone wants to live like you Thelam.. Personally I thought your house was horrible and ostentatious

Well I don't see why not - we've already had Muslim Driving School. Surely the most bizarre and pointless concept for a fly on the wall series?

Thelma says she's doing this to show people their good qualities and that they're employable. Oh dear.

This reminds me of that TV series How the Other Half Live, or whatever it was called. After one episode there was a thread about it, and all anyone could talk about was how much one of the 'poor' mums looked like Zelda from Terrahawks, and how dirty her kitchen cupboards were, so it was a bit awkward when she turned up on the thread to defend herself....

I am sure there will be another weekend post on a few days.

Still think she will kick herself as all she is doing is teaching these girls how to put her out of business!

well, I loved the show and I hope there is a follow up to see how the 4 girls get on.

I like Thelma, I think she did a great job teaching those girls. They would never have got an opportunity like that otherwise. She dealt with them really well. I'm sure I would have had a lot less patience.

Some people on this thread are quite nasty. Why?

I enjoyed the show. Some of the girls got far more chances than they would have done elsewhere.

Would like to see how they got on and also how Grace is doing. I liked the fact she was honest that she wanted to go to college.

Grace always stood out as being very different to the others.
