Here we are, a new home for the second week. Smile

Rafa will be sorely missed. Sad

Rooting for Roger.

Could there/will there be more upsets ? If last week is anything to go by, is this years Wimby anyone's for the taking ?

You will have to educate your dc re the importance of listening to interviews - there is so much you can learn whilst having a bloody good look and, actually, not taking in a word that is said

Afternoon all.

Gutted about the womens. No-one who I wanted to win did. Don't care about the final. Pah.

Very much looking forward to tomorrow. I am completely in the Roger camp, and the Tsonga camp. Poor David. Sad

I am hoping for a long afternoon/evening of tennis. Can't wait ! Smile

I am very excited about tomorrow. It will be great ( apart from the school runAngry. I am definitely in the Tsonga camp, and want fed to beat djokovic. I was glad serena win in the end, just because I couldn't have listened to azarenk squeal her way through another match!

JackieandJudy · 05/07/2012 17:39

Oh Mary, you can't be doing links like those to a woman of my age, don't you know palpitations can kill you off. Blimey, he is unfairly gorgeous n'est ce pas. I actually prefer the second pic too!

What time does it all kick off tomorrow? I have a meeting at twelve. Yes, I want Tsonga to win but bit torn between Rog and Novak. I like them both, and Ds will be rooting for Novak. I think, on reflection, I'd like it to be Roger's year. Both ds and Novak are young enough to have plenty of time ahead of them in the limelight!

LadyBeagleEyes · 05/07/2012 17:42

I'll still be supporting Andy, but won't be too upset if he's beaten by the delightful Tsonga.
Sadly, which ever one gets into the final, I can't see them beating Djokovich.
I don't believe Federer can either. He's just too bloody good.

chipstick10 · 05/07/2012 18:12

As churlish as it is i am supporting anyone but Andy now that Nadal is out.

Stilla · 05/07/2012 18:16

Missed both women's matches !
Luckily walked in just as Sue started her interview with Tsonga ....he is too lovely Wink . I love that he is so softly spoken .
Currently watching Pat Cash / Mark Woodforde V Henri Leconte and Mansour Bahrami Grin (although they did just change partners mid play !)

uselesslife · 06/07/2012 08:07

Invitation doubles- Andrew Castle Grin

LetUsPrey · 06/07/2012 08:28

Bring on the men's semis!

(Never gets old) Grin

RaahhIsaBitofaJinx · 06/07/2012 09:43

Right, i have been shopping. I do not intend to move all day (apart from the school run when i request a rain delay. 2.50-3.40 sshould cover it. TIA)Grin

The weather here is vile. 3 months worth of rain is predicted in 4 days. If the weather down Wimbledon way is anything like this, they have to consider leaving the roof shut, surely. it would be rubbish for such great looking matches to be disrupted by the weather. Ditto, the final. There have been some amazing finals, totally dominated by the weather- sampras/Rafter, which didn't finish till past 9pm. Edbergs's first win was on the Monday, because of the weather. But it's got to be better to avoid that, surely?

Anyway, Allez Tsonga!

MurielTheActor · 06/07/2012 09:59

Tsonga Tsonga Tsonga Tsonga Grin
He is SO adorable - loved Sue Barker getting all giggly and girly.
He is so twinkly.

Maryz- that will be one of those texts that you never* got. Nope. Never. Sorry. She must have thought^ she sent it....Grin

Ds and dd1 have resigned themselves to the fact I have taken over the lounge. DD1 is glad she will be out most of Sunday, Ds is planning to visit a mate. DD2, she's no trouble. And looks like John McEnroe circa 1980. I like to put headbands on her, for my own amusementGrin

uselesslife · 06/07/2012 12:18

H reckons he can get me a ticket for mens final.
But he just moved out on Sunday. what do I do?

uselesslife · 06/07/2012 12:19

It's peeing down in SW19, they better have that roof on

RaahhIsaBitofaJinx · 06/07/2012 12:32

uselesslife- dilemmaHmm
take the ticket

They surely must have the roof on- and resign themsselves to this being the first year of an indoor semi/and or final. It's just cutting their noses off to keep trying to keep it 'outdoors' as a point of principle. The roof was put on for a reason- this in one of the wettest june/julys ever. I'm sure the people who have paid good money for tickets, would rather see play under the roof, than sit under a brolly whilst the Tournament ref umms and ahhs.

RaahhIsaBitofaJinx · 06/07/2012 12:33

and the players won't want to hang around either!

RaahhIsaBitofaJinx · 06/07/2012 12:36

This is what is going to happen (in my head)- Federer is going to totally shock Djoko and win in straight sets in just under 2 hours.

i go on school run

Due to technical difficulties with something technical, the next match doesn't start straight away.

I get home at 3.40

Murray/Tsonga start play at 3.45.

i like my schedule.

RaahhIsaBitofaJinx · 06/07/2012 12:47

awww, interview with Tsonga. Lovely.

RaahhIsaBitofaJinx · 06/07/2012 13:05

And we're off....

(where is the Wimbledon emoticon, anyway. S'not fair)

Wine
Glaikit · 06/07/2012 13:14

Are you talking to yourself Raahh??

If you have a direct line to the weather gods can you ask then to stop the rain here please. We havent cut the grass in a month and ds will get lost in it if I let him out to play. Plus I've had to dig a ruddy great trench to divert the water running off the hills away from my bck door.
