Oh bugger,

Now we have to hope Federer can beat DickDoc.

sayanythingrogerjustrogerme · 28/06/2012 22:13

Will you all root for Fed now??? Please?? Because we can't have Djoko win again, last year nearly destroyed tennis for me.

RaahhfaNadalsmyToyboy · 28/06/2012 22:15

Glaikit- he claimed it was comfy. it's for charidee, so i suppose he can't diss it.

I'm a bit sad now.

LetUsPrey · 28/06/2012 22:16

Rosol needs to knock that spitting malarkey on the head (if that's what he was doing). Where's he been all this time. According to his profile on the Wimbledon website, he's 26 and turned pro in 2004. This is first Wimbledon in the singles, although he did play in the doubles last year. He's never won a singles title! And yet he plays like that!

Glaikit · 28/06/2012 22:17

Ive got a feeling it might be ,urrays year. Even with the shock defeat at queens.

LetUsPrey · 28/06/2012 22:18

I would root for Roger (fnar) ahead of Rafa anyway.

I still don't look at Djokovic and think "Wimbledon Champion" or "World No 1".

RaahhfaNadalsmyToyboy · 28/06/2012 22:19

I want Baghdatis to beat Murray. I cannot, will not , support Federer. or Dick Djok.

Allez Tsonga!

I need a drink....

CremeEggThief · 28/06/2012 22:22

Wow! Did that just actually happen???

What a way to play a match! But surely that'll be the match of Rosol's life? Interestingly, he faces Kohlschreiber, who beat Rafa in Halle, next.

RaahhfaNadalsmyToyboy · 28/06/2012 22:22

It would be worth murray progressing, just to see more of Lendl though.
Can we get Goran a wild card just for the final?

LadyBeagleEyes · 28/06/2012 22:24

Rosol did spit. A lot. Not nice.
But good on him, he played amazingly.
Sad that Rafa's gone, though it does open up the tournament.
Exciting.

noddyholder · 28/06/2012 22:29

I think Federer is going to win it one more time hopefully. That match was amazing I was shocked at how much of a bad loser Rafa was when he has had so much success.

LadyBeagleEyes · 28/06/2012 22:29

I was so for Rafa last year, but I was charmed by Djokovic after he won.
He came across very well.
Murray will still stay my man though, I'm Scottish, it's obligatory.

MrsVamos · 28/06/2012 22:33

Cannot believe what we all just saw. I am Shock.

What an upset.

Hats off to Rosol, he beat Rafa fair and square.

I know Rafa never makes excuses, but from the get go something wasn't quite right, was it ?

Wimby won't be the same now. Sad

It will be very interesting to see how far Rosol can go. Is he the new champ-in-waiting ?

I don't know why people don't like Djokovic he seems lovely. Nadal is a terrible loser in comparison.

FrankWippery · 28/06/2012 22:37

MrsVamos check your email...I've sent you a picture that DS took today and think you will rather like it Wink

LetUsPrey · 28/06/2012 22:39

Keep an eye on David Goffin. He plays Mardy Fish next and I think he'll beat him. Should that happen and Tsonga wins his next match against Lacko, it'll be Goffin -v- Tsonga which should be a great match. So a Fish -v- Lacko match then Grin

MrsVamos · 28/06/2012 22:43

Frank

Hello my lovely. Not seen you for ages....have replied. Wink

David is good but Roger knocked him out at RG. Seems that if Rosol and Murray get to the semi's they play one another.

I would like to see Rosol play Dickdjok, the way he played today. That could be an amazing match.

Shock

I am also rooting for Murray (Scottish DH)

MrsVamos · 28/06/2012 22:57

I would like to see Roger win.

I have a feeling this may be his 'last hurrah' maybe ? I know he's still playing and playing well, but if some of these youngsters are anything to go by, it's only going to get harder and harder.

I had a funny feeling watching that match. Rosol has a fantastic serve. It would be nice if it wasn't just a fluke. DH kept saying, "it's alright, Rafa'll do it, he knows what he's doing" but with every Rosol serve game I was cringing to be honest.

I knew Rafa had lost when he lost his 1st service game in the 5th set.

Just such a shame. Really takes the edge off Wimby for me. I love the game so shall continue watching, but it won't be the same.

I'm so glad I watched the Nadal match, I nearly didn't bother cos I thought Rafa was bound to win. He didn't do himself any favours tonight though did he, stropping around like a bad tempered little boy. I thought Rosal behaved really sportsmanlike-ly (apart from the gobbing, that is). Wonder if he has it in him to go much further.

I'm insanely jealous of those of you who have been or are going. I used to go when younger but haven't been for years now. Dd has a friend who's working there, he texted her through the Murray match and told her she could go with him next week - BUT SHE DOESN'T WANT TO! No daughter of mine that .....

I don't know, Maryz.

He really isn't usually the type to complain or offer up excuses, he is very sporting and congratulates his opponent and says that his opponent played better. Which is usually the case !

I thought the spitting was disgusting. I did wonder at one point if Rafa was complaining about spit on the balls, which I completely understand, that would piss me off.
