has she lost tons of weight or what?

OP posts:
GColdtimer · 30/04/2012 04:14

Carabos, you didn't say if you had daughters when I mentioned it. If you have I really hope you are not sharing your warped view with them. Am astounded that you think she is fat and actually quite Angry

RobinSparkles · 30/04/2012 06:54

If Carabos has sons, I would hate for her views to rub off on them too! Imagine how crap their girlfriends/wives would feel!

Holly Willougby is far from fat. I'm astounded that anyone would think otherwise Shock.

carabos · 30/04/2012 08:43

twofalls to me, it's your view that is warped.
Tell me who you would regard as "fat".

Mosman · 30/04/2012 08:48

The camera adds 10lb's remember

bronze · 30/04/2012 08:49

Well I'm a healthy weight an I'm betting she's smaller than me. Having wide hip bones can give the impression of being bigger than you are. Turn her profile and there are no rolls of fat or anything like that. You can't help your body structure

CharltonHairstyle · 30/04/2012 08:54

I think she looks lovely and healthy.

If some people think that 'not skinny' is fat, so be it.

I'm glad I look at things a different way though.

carabos · 30/04/2012 08:55

Good grief - there are "no rolls of fat" because she's wearing restraining underwear Hmm.

Kellamity · 30/04/2012 08:55

I'm just watching it now. I think she looks just right, not skinny and certainly not fat. Healthy! She's looking good.

TheLaineyWayIsEssex · 30/04/2012 08:56

Definitely not skinny. She is slim and curvaceous, and IMO the ideal figure.
No way could she be described as fat!

Sooooo, it's okay to call her skinny but everyone's getting knickers in knots when someone calls her fat? No one spotting any irony here, then? Confused

msrisotto · 30/04/2012 09:04

Twat

She's not fat or skinny, looks good, to me.

But I still don't get how it's ok to call someone skinny but not fat?

GColdtimer · 30/04/2012 09:58

Carobos, I wouldn't be so rude to call anyone fat (or skinny) for that matter on here. And that is not the point. The point is that you are incorrectly describing someone who (I suspect) has a healthy bmi as overweight. I would imagine she is about 5ft 8 and even if she is 11 stone, which I doubt, her bmi is probably around 23. Views like yours are so damaging.

RobinSparkles · 30/04/2012 10:39

Nobody, apart from the OP, called her skinny.

I wouldn't say that she is skinny. I would reserve the word "skinny" for catwalk models and Victoria Beckham. Holly Willoughby has the dream figure IMO.

I personally would much rather be called skinny than fat! If you called me skinny I'd think "oh dear, well I must make more effort to eat chocolate then!" if you called me fat then well, you might just get a slap round the chops! But that's just me.

I don't think either is healthy though.

RobinSparkles · 30/04/2012 10:41

And how the hell do you know what kind of underwear she is wearing? Hmm

carabos · 30/04/2012 12:16

robin a very cursory google of Holly tells you that she's a big fan of Spanx, that she's 5ft 7 and admits to being a size 12. In celeb land that means she's probably a 14. IMO that's fat, in the opinion of others its skinny, and yet others think its OK - that's to be expected, we're all entitled to a) have an opinion and b) express an opinion.

RobinSparkles · 30/04/2012 13:02

Yes, you are entitled to express your opinion. However, I am thankful that most people (on this thread at least) don't share yours! :)

MadameMessy · 30/04/2012 13:35

Well I agree with carabos. She is not skinny.
There is a huge problem with overweight and obesity at the moment. Saying a pretty large size 12 is skinny is just untrue.
Not that I'm perfect, of course, just she's not skinny

RobinSparkles · 30/04/2012 13:56

She's not overweight!!!! overweight is when you have a BMI over 25, which I doubt HW has, plus nobody has said that she's skinny, apart from the OP and I don't even think that the OP even meant skinny as in skin and bone skinny. I think she just meant that she looked thinner than usual - which I agree with as her arms looked thinner but she recently had a baby so that might be a factor.

badtasteflump · 30/04/2012 14:01

She is definitely not skinny or fat IMO - just refreshingly normal for someone in tv-land.

Anyway, I think she comes across v well and is a fab presenter. So there Smile

Astr0naut · 30/04/2012 14:02

Holly's not fat.

I live in the Welsh capital of fat; Holly is not it.

I'm a size 12 btw, but not a celeb one. I'm 5'9 and certainly never thought of myself as fat. I'll ask dh.

badtasteflump · 30/04/2012 14:04

Me too Astro. Last time I checked my BMI was 22.something - not overweight, in my book, but still meaty enough to have decent boobage Smile
