Have just done the traditional Sunday morning viewing with DS, whilst reading this thread 'in real time'. I fear I need to either hit the booze next week or force him to stay up late to watch so I can drink whilst watching - it was all pretty dire.

w.i.w is the master of damning with faint praise/passive agression methinks, how long before he comes out with the 'amazing is not the word' type comments.

Clearly no-one in the BBC Standards/Compliance/whatever it's called department knows their Foo Fighter lyrics (nor presumably anyone at the Daily Fail as they're not whipping themselves up into a 'won't someone think of the children' frenzy)

I watched some of this again with ds this morning, and he got bored very quickly.

I was also wondering if the results show is live live or strictly live i.e recorded last night? Hopefully it is properly live!

couldn't listen to the bloke who sang the Foo's- it was so far removed from the tune, that I didn't pay attention to the lyrics!

Been lurking 'cos I can't do the watching/typing thing but loved seeing what everyone else thought, as nobody in the house can muster an ounce of enthusiasm for this! And tbh I'm glad no one was watching with me or I might have felt ashamed to waste the evening viewing such tripe...

A selection of my feelings to share-

the concept of the series is flawed because it gets less interesting at every stage and the uniqueness of the concept disappears.

I like Leanne but can't imagine her 'punching someone out' (that is how it goes, isn't it?) so a mismatch. Much better on sweeter songs. I think she has a lovely smile. Also like Frances and think Will is really sweet with her.

Had to view the whole of Adam's performance through my fingers and even worse his bizarre diagonal body never-ending chat at the end. Aaargh. He's leaving.

Love Ruth although the song followed the same 'build up, big long note, screeeeeech' pattern as last time.

Forgotten the rest of the contestants, which says it all really.

But for Will.i.would keep you up all night The main reason my interest is sustained.

Raahh - think it is just like Strictly as the results seem to be all over Twitter etc, so they must tape the night before then just lie, the horrors . . .
