Its been a while since we had a 'we hate Kate' thread. I wish she would bugger off to Thailand. What is with this new Kate. She's almost as bad as the old mumsy kate although I think her wardrobe is starting to improve.

Also has anyone else notice the characters seem to be a bit thin on the ground?

Glad to see summer grow out that awful fringe though.

oh and she decides to go back to school. yet no mention of how she will pay her way!!

Agree Sonya is vomit/rage inducing and what is with Sophie's scrunched up nose angry face - not a good look...

And why can't Michael stay away from women who are taken?

My future career as a neighbours script writer is over - I predicted Port Douglas boy would show up in Ramsay Street since Kate is apparently irresistible to most males...

It enrages me but I watch faithfully nonetheless

I assumed they had killed off Summer's father years ago when I wasn't looking? Had no idea he was still off on an imaginary oil rig.

I find Kate a bit more bearable now that she is less sanctimonious but I could well do with skipping all the Sonya & Toadie conception stuff - the thought of presumably having to go through her pregnancy and the baby makes me want to turn off for a year.

They do lack characters atm - I think the new principal's family are going to become characters.

Have to say I hate Sophie much more than I'm hating Kate right now. The whole stroppy teenager thing is so annoying.
I agree with the whole Michael needing to stay away from "taken" women thing although we all know that's not going to happen.
I'm really not liking Tash at the moment either.
Oh the other hand I have a small almost guilty pleasure crush on Andrew although the accent leaves alot to be desired..

Andrew has become nice.

I can't stop watching it, but it is pretty crap at the moment, with zero attractive young men and noone that I could really care about at all.

I hate Sophie more, she's just a pure brat. Summer's family just seem to have totally disappeared : didn't she have a dad, a brother, an aunt, a stepmother (how long is steph inside for?)

Oh and what has happened to Libby? I know it gets mentioned on every Neighbours thread but she left so abruptly and with no hint if she is coming back or not. Maybe they don't know themselves!
Agree that Shiny Kate (haha) and Stroppy Summer need to jump off a cliff. I find it annoying how Shiny Kate is supposed to be irresistible to all the boys..personally I can't see it

No-one can see it aside from the script writers.
I am shocked at the latest development. Are we meant to sympathise in any way? Kate was so upset when Jade and Brennan had a one night stand and she wasn't even going out with him at the time!
She's webcamming away to Erin about this guy and at no point does anyone say- he's not just seeing someone, he's seeing your BEST FRIEND!!!

Libby did leave abruptly - I think the actress basically had a breakdown. Apparently her Ex joined a cult and she was worried their child would be abducted, she had had health problems - pneumonia and a collapsed lung and then there was tension on set as she was involved with the actress who played Rebecca's ex. The producers want to leave the door open for her when she is ready.

I hate the way some people are just forgotten - surely Summer would still visit her dad, brother or even Lynne (when the actress is having her time off). As for Steph surely she could be out on parole soon? as people generally serve less than half their sentences. So much for Lucas waiting for her.

Kate is so weird - noticed that brother Harry has actually been mentioed recently - perhaps he will be making a return (with a new face).

Neighbours is so bad atm - would totally stop watching if Paul leaves.Hate the Kate storyline and also the Sonya/Toady one too. They need to offer shedloads of dosh to Izzy to bring her back and spice things up a bit.

As for shiney face, she is so miscast it is unreal.

Paul is my main reason for watching too. But the character count is so low now, they really should make an effort to get some old faces back (not Mal, did not enjoy that).

bit surprised at dr Carl choice of girlfriend, he usually goes for the younger dolly bird type (Izzy, Sarah). I think were due a visit from billy and ann, we've had all the other kennedy brood popping in. I find the michael / amelia thing a bit cringe. but we definately need more characters.

The strangest thing I always thought was Lyn arriving back in the street and starting a new life without Oscar,who was still a small boy. She hardly even mentioned him!

I think Billy is in a successful US show so can't come back-unless they change the actor. Oscar was meant to prefer living on the farm with Lynn's ex - even though she still expected Paul (who was no relation) to pay maintenance for him!
I think Neighbours needs a good clear out- Tash, Michael, Shiney Kate, Toady (how has he survived all these years?) They need someone to spark off Paul well and a character like Dr Darcy (who Dr Rhys most certaily isn't)
