Regarding showy's comment - I am so glad I had two babies.
DS was a 36 hours in hospital job, by the time he was born I hadn't slept or eaten for two days - and I was ticked off by the MW for coming in too early.
I was told to come in when the pain was unbearable and left thinking I was obviously a Wuss when it came to pain.
After having DD at home, I can honestly say when I asked the MWs, (who had been there for half an hour) for G&A I was in the same level of pain when I showed up at hospital with DS.
The difference is that DD was born two pushes later, rather than 36 hours and I know now it was the MW being a cow. I should have asked for an epidural with DS, it was so bloody painful.
