WHY DO ALL THE CAMERA SHOTS HAVE THOSE WOMEN LYING IN A BLOODY BLOODY BED? Why do we not SEE them pacing and standing and rocking and leaning?

Because the show is filmed by fixed cameras. There are no crews in the rooms. The cameras are placed there weeks in advance and have to be positioned / angled towards the place the most action is most likely to take place. The women are quite likely pacing etc but not in range of the camera. They can only affix a certain number of cameras due to cost / space / technicalities etc - something has to give and on this show, it's the women walking etc.

Accept that doesn't account for why they're not rocking by the bed but does go someway to answer your plaintive cry!

I feel sorry for Victor.

I didn't want ANYONE there during my birth, no DP, no midwives. But I didn't know how to get that. Next time, I might do the whole thing secretly in a darkened room. With sound proof walls.

Loving both couples this week! Although olga does not want victor in as it's a secret female thing she does know she's on tv doesn't she?

I feel sorry for Victor... poor thing is wearing a new outfit and all!

Queenkong - she is in a fluid-sharing relationship with him. So it's not entirely unlikely that she finds him handsome.

I love violet elizabeth and both couples are great.

I'm sure there was less bed action and more walking, rocking etc in the previous series of OBEM, in the other hospital....

My Mother and MIL seem to have an ongoing competition thing happening. Everytime we have a family get- together DH and I cringe and hope to good nothing kicks off! ( Wouldnt be the first time!)

Both of them in with me giving birth would be a COMPLETE nightmare!! My BP would be through the roof!
