Yes , they totally made a mess of the whole thing. They were having a nightmare as it was snowing , I was sent home , then got back, no CS and ended up with a distressed baby and forceps.

ImpatientOne · 15/02/2012 21:28

eugh I'm emetophobic- that has just about finished me off:(

Dotty342kids · 15/02/2012 21:28

yes, vomiting is normal. I got out of my bath at home so the m.w could examine me. She took her rings off to do so, put them next to my bed and I vomited all over them! She had to come around three days later to collect her (cleaned!) engagement ring!

theonewiththenoisychild · 15/02/2012 21:28

Will be watching on itv+1 Smile

SparkySparrow · 15/02/2012 21:28

Dh just said 'She looks nice considering she's having a baby. You looked a mess!' Shock

LittleWhiteWolf · 15/02/2012 21:29

Is interesting this week to show a midwife having her first baby, and a mother of two, albeit with having twins, so still relatively unknown for her.

scarletforya · 15/02/2012 21:29

Will twin 2 not move on its own...Confused

RabidEchidna · 15/02/2012 21:29

DS2 just ask "is he a mid husband" meaning the Dr lol

lucjam · 15/02/2012 21:29

sorry impatientone where the hell i got that info from god only knows am thrilled there are 7 more, yippeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

working9while5 · 15/02/2012 21:29

Whydontwehaveasharpknife, I threw up a few times. It didn't bother me at all. I am still throwing up on and off at nearly 24 weeks of pregnancy and I swear, hand on heart, it is not as bad as the tiredness of the first trimester. It doesn't even bother me as long as I am close to a loo, only worried if I feel I am going to throw up in public!

sodapops · 15/02/2012 21:29

I am tooo, impatient. I am in a cold sweat now!

SauvignonBlanche · 15/02/2012 21:29

They're determined shes going to have an epidural.

susiedaisy · 15/02/2012 21:29

Funny how we forget the pain until the first contraction of the next pregnancy Grin

Dotty342kids · 15/02/2012 21:30

Oh, poor m.w mum!

StarlightDicKenzie · 15/02/2012 21:30

Ahhhhh, poor mw woman.

whydontwehaveasharpknife · 15/02/2012 21:30

Oh its just how casual she was about it!

RitaMorgan · 15/02/2012 21:30

Twin mum is being induced isn't she? So contractions are likely to be way more painful than her previous spontaneous labours.

working9while5 · 15/02/2012 21:30

Sorry ImpatientOne, cross posted with you! Blush

KenDoddsDadsDog · 15/02/2012 21:30

Does anyone else think the midwife is a bit of a pain?

RabidEchidna · 15/02/2012 21:31

That young mid wife needs a better bra

CoffeeBucks · 15/02/2012 21:31

Same here ImpatientOne - am even more scared of childbirth now Sad

pigleychez · 15/02/2012 21:31

Sharp knive- I was throwing up continually minutes after DD1 was born but that was my body going into shock after the traumatic birth. (like last weeks 'stuck' baby with Shoulder Dystosia)

NotnOtter · 15/02/2012 21:31

ken i tthink shes not really labouring yet.....

oooggs · 15/02/2012 21:32

Scarlet yes twin 2 could move about once twin 1 has come out due to twice as much room !! The consultant held twin2 through my belly to stop him moving and gently guided him down. All by just holding my belly on the outside!

Very weird

I really like Charlottes midwife (can;t remember twin mums name). She seems really calm and collected given that its her friend and colleague in labour.
