Also admiration and swooning. If you haven't watched all 7 seasons, read no further!

Two Cathedrals - have watched it several times and only just realised last night that Mrs Landingham was driving back to the WH as Bartlet wanted to tell her about the MS.

I love the scenes with young Mrs L and Jed.

Why "two" cathedrals though?

Oh Tee, "Olivia, Queen of MN and WW" - luvverly bit of flattery Grin

We may yet get a WW emoticon Wink

Nothing like the smell of suck up on a Tuesday afternoon. Grin

TwoPinkShoes · 21/02/2012 17:31

If anyone would like to suggest two episodes from series 2, I shall watch them this evening Grin

Being fairly new to TWW, and only having watched it once all through, I am open to suggestions!!!

Tee2072 · 21/02/2012 17:34

Stackhouse Filibuster and 2 Cathedrals would be my two from Season 2.

gettingalifenow · 21/02/2012 17:37

Well two pink shoes, you should just start at the beginning and keep going! From memory, aren't the first two of S2 'in the shadow of the gunmen'?

Fiderer · 21/02/2012 17:45

We're immune to embarrassment here, getting. And accusations of nerdiness.

Two pink shoes - I like "in this white house" but I have a ridiculous soft spot for Ainsley with an en.

CelstialNavigation · 21/02/2012 18:00

It has to be Shadow of Two Gunmen, both parts. Lots of flashbacks (You fell in the pool there, CJ) and everyone trying to handle Josh being shot.

You will then need to watch The Midterms as after Josh wakes up and asks "Whats next?", you have to watch the next episode. That's the rule. And then the continuation of the aftermath of the shooting (especially Toby) in the next 2 episodes and the introduction of Ainsley make you watch "In This Whitehouse" and "And its Surely to their Credit."

Its really a 5 story episode arc so just stick it on and your DH is sure to get sucked back in. Who wouldn't be?

CelstialNavigation · 21/02/2012 18:01

If Josh can call the president a nerd and get away with it (sort of), then its definately open season for any of us to let our inner geekiness emerge here.

OliviaMumsnet · 21/02/2012 18:09

Cn - that is true about 5 ep arc

And I vividly recall getting to the end of an ep, quickly checking time and mentally calculating whether it was really TOOOOOO late to put another one and then glancing at DH to see if he was doing the same....
Grin

CaveMum · 21/02/2012 18:36

You can ns er watch just one episode of West Wing. Once a disc has been started you have through all 4. It's like a bag of malteasers - where's the fun in just having one?

Grin
CaveMum · 21/02/2012 18:37

Apologies for the random missing words in that post Hmm

TwoPinkShoes · 21/02/2012 18:52

Lol GrinGrinThank you!

Urmmm. I shall have to ponder this. DH is miffed we're rewatching any of TWW and he wants to try The Killing. Mmmmm. Nope. I want to enjoy TWW more Wink

CelstialNavigation · 21/02/2012 20:15

The Killing? Not comparable on any level. Has any episode of the "The Killing" ever been nominated for a "Best Contemporary Hair Styling" award in a Single Episode of a TV Drama, by the Hollywood Makeup Artist and Hair Stylist Guild??

This makes you watch "Noel" very closely, and note how Josh's hair does become progressively more traumatised throughout the flashbacks. Stanley's hair becomes more frazzled, dealing with Josh. Toby's hair stays the same.

TwoPinkShoes · 21/02/2012 20:37

We made it through three episodes of The Killing in the hols and even DH fell asleep trying to concentrate on the subtitles. But we have the box set and he's determined to give it another go.

Little does he realise.

TWW series 2 is starting....... NOW.

tribpot · 21/02/2012 20:39

TwoPinkShoes, you could put Danish subtitles on so he can feel like it's The Killing Grin? Donna does have a Nordic-style sweater, as well.

CelstialNavigation · 21/02/2012 21:01

Or watch the one with the moose-meat?

gettingalifenow · 22/02/2012 19:34

We watched he one where Danny asks CJ to jump off a cliff last night - now that is a romantic episode I couldn't think of re valentines day. Mind you it does end with a nuclear disaster so not entirely light and romantic..

Hassled · 22/02/2012 19:39

Oh Danny - my heart is really with Toby, but Danny will always have a little piece of it. Such a great character, and so right for CJ.

tribpot · 22/02/2012 20:09

I love that: romance a la West Wing - intimate supper followed by national-level nuclear crisis. :)

frasersmummy · 23/02/2012 14:15

I never bought the cj/danny thing.. I dont know why I just didnt think the chemsitry was there.. I know we only saw him briefly but I thought Ben was a better match

Ample · 23/02/2012 18:33

I get CJ and Danny but not Donna and Josh.
Even BW (reportedly) said that his character should have ended up with Amy.
Amy irritates me though. Not so much her overall character - but the monotone voice (MLP's mouth barely moves).

I wish Kate & Will had ended up together.

tribpot · 23/02/2012 19:28

Kate and Will was just a gratuitous relationship in order to have some relationship drama, though. The characters were both fine but they were fine without having to date each other and then post bras and god knows what to each other ...

Ample · 23/02/2012 20:24

It worked for me Grin

Malory and Sam. I'm happy that they moved on or was it moved apart? It never quite lifted off to begin with.

I liked Charlie & Zoey but only after they broke up. They were a bit meh when they were together.

tribpot · 23/02/2012 21:05

Weren't they back together by the end? Wasn't there some truly appalling moment when the Pres bumped into Charlie in the middle of the night, in a sort of recreation of the much more hilarious scene with Ross and Tom Selleck in Friends?
