Also admiration and swooning. If you haven't watched all 7 seasons, read no further!

Two Cathedrals - have watched it several times and only just realised last night that Mrs Landingham was driving back to the WH as Bartlet wanted to tell her about the MS.

I love the scenes with young Mrs L and Jed.

Why "two" cathedrals though?

and seamlessly changes to nodding when he looks at her!

Josh and CJ at the Cartographers for Social Equality (or somesuch) is my favorite Big Block of Cheese Day interview. Those maps were amazing.

CaveMum · 19/02/2012 19:59

Aww, poor Pluie the wolf!

Am I alone in thinking (until very recently) that Dulé Hill's name was pronounced "Duel" rather than "Du-le"? Blush

It honestly never occurred to me!

For me actors are defined by their roles in one of two shows: West Wing or Buffy - as in "It's so-and-so from WW/Buffy"

My methid got into a little trouble when both The Mayor and Principal Flutie showed up in WW Grin

PassTheTwiglets · 19/02/2012 20:10

Pluie is the name of our remote control for the TV. Sounds odd but bear with me. The remote control is blue and we started calling it 'bluey', so as to differentiate between the different remotes. Then Bluey morphed into Pluie and there you have it.

I'm just saying that if you were in an accident, I wouldn't stop for a beer."
"If you were in an accident I wouldn't stop for red lights,"

Hassled · 19/02/2012 20:15

We have a Big Block of Cheese Day mug. This one. Yes - those cartographers were brilliant - just one of many small little inconsequential scenes that still manage to make you think long and hard.

I didn't really realise what a great actress Elisabeth Moss is until I watched Mad Men - but those post kidnap scenes (the horseriding, the smiling at the cameras) were amazing.

celticlassie · 19/02/2012 20:53

It's a shame Big Block of Cheese Day stopped - they were the best episodes. I've been a big believer in the Peter's Projection map since then.

Josh: These guys find Brigadoon on that map, you'll call me, right?
C.J.: Probably not.
Josh: Okay.

Josh is crap at Big Block of Cheese Day.

tribpot · 19/02/2012 20:57

I wish they'd carried on with Big Block of Cheese Day, too. I guess it could have seemed a bit gimmicky (and probably not Emmy-grabbing enough, now we all understand that process a bit better Hmm) but equally there are enough issues of that nature to have kept it going without becoming stale.

We used to have a Peters Projection map on the wall when I was little - I was quite surprised anyone was surprised to see it Grin

gettingalifenow · 19/02/2012 21:02

As per CJ - you can't show that!

Cartographer - why not?

CJ - because it's freaking me out!!

I would just like to say how much I am enjoying this thread ladies. I am Envy of those watching it currently - DH thought it was too soon to start from the beginning again for the gazillionth time so we're now on Rubicon and Homeland, having watched Borgen as well. All good stuff but not the same.

Will have another go at attempting to persuade him that It Is Time to start WW again soon...

tribpot · 20/02/2012 14:42

It is always time to start watching again. You can always do a pick'n'mix, you don't have to watch in order!

CelstialNavigation · 20/02/2012 15:13

Josh IS crap at Big Block of Cheese Day, that's true.

He gets let off having an assignment in both of them, for a good reason in the first one and then no real reason in the second one?

But i like to believe that he messed up in spectacular fashion in the one that would have taken place before the series began, and insulted someone so badly that Leo won't let him loose with his own assignment anymore.

I did enjoy the banter around the second one

Josh: How the hell old were you when you were protesting?

Toby: (with dignity) My sisters took me.

And the part where Leo whacks Josh on the head for "Total Crackpot Day" is always enjoyable.

Tee2072 · 20/02/2012 18:20

Oh yes, 'Who knew babies came with hats?' sniff

gettingalifenow · 20/02/2012 19:10

Here's a trivia question from DH - he thinks he's right.

What brand of scotch do Toby and Lord John Malmebury go off in search of, in the episode where the Irish politician is due to make a visit ( and Lord John is sent to object)

Sorry for random change of subject, btw

CaveMum · 20/02/2012 19:23

gettingalifenow · 20/02/2012 19:26

Oh, CaveMum you cheat! You're right of course.

I think we'll have to I vigilante these questions in future :o

gettingalifenow · 20/02/2012 19:27

Aha spell check!!! Invigilate.

CaveMum · 20/02/2012 19:29

gettingalifenow · 20/02/2012 19:33

Any more nonsense like that young lady and I'll revoke the scores for the modules on electoral math! Then you'll have to resist WW 101 entirely!

Wait a minute - isn't that the ideal outcome for this in any case?

CelstialNavigation · 20/02/2012 19:43

Question: Which one is Larry and which one is Ed?

tribpot · 20/02/2012 19:45

Oh no! You cannot ask that question and certainly no-one can answer it :) They are both Larry and both Ed, it has to be!

gettingalifenow · 20/02/2012 19:48

It's like asking which came first the chicken or the egg? The question is unanswerable - they both exist at the same time in a state of ed-ness and larry-ness at the same time - do even they know?!

CelstialNavigation · 20/02/2012 20:05

They do know themselves, because when Sam is trying to make everyone look for errors in the "tell-all" book some former member of staff has written, he gives everyone chapters about themselves and one of the first "mistakes" found is that Ed says "I'M Ed, he's Larry" (or possibly it was vice versa Grin).

And CJ says sometimes she doesn't know that.

But I can never ever make it stay in my head which one identifies themselves as which.

I may have to go back to accepting they are one entity: EdandLarry

Hassled · 20/02/2012 20:09

Wiki has a lot to say on Ed and Larry. I'm taking some comfort from the fact that while we are all sad WW nerds, the person who wrote that Wiki page is considerably sadder :o.

CelstialNavigation · 20/02/2012 20:22

Who would've thought they merited their very own wiki page? Although I read it all and am still no clearer on which is which (pictures might've helped!)

Thanks for that Hassled. I now feel secure in the knowledge that I am not meant to know. Shakespearean parallels and all that Wink

Tee2072 · 20/02/2012 20:27

I know which is which, do you want me to tell you? ::taps nose::
