lol pete ranting about his coat! have they found out if it's real fur yet? hope it isnt. if it is hope he gets arrested.

Article in the Independant today saying how repugnant it is that the police can go in and arrest Pete's coat yet the papers for the civil case against Barrymore weren't allowed to be served.

yeah thats an interesting point actually. I don't know enough about the incident with mb to comment too much on that. but as for the way mb comes across, he seems unhinged to say the least and v. bitter he wants to pick an arguemnt out of nowhere, I dont like him.

George demands compensation for Pete because his endangered species coat has been arrested.

I wish he would just go. Am sick of him. For some reason, chucking that stuff over Preston was the last straw for me.

Do you think he was terrified? At one point, when he was running away, he did say somthing like "not on the cashmere Pete". I took it that he didn't want his nice jumper ruined.

Maybe Preston is as fond of his orange cashmere jumper as Pete is of his "gorilla" coat.

Could someone tell me just briefly what happened tonight. Missed it because dh had to watch something on the other side.

Perhaps I exagerate but I think he looked like a little boy. I think he tries to use humour to get out of situations.

It was mainly about petes coat being confiscated and michael barrymores continuing breakdown.

It was everything that happened in the house yesterday.

Started with eviction day morning, and ended a bit after Rula was evicted. Much of the other footage was about Pete discovering his coat was missing. There were lots of trips into the diary room, with various threats by Pete to quit if coat wasn't returned. He calmed down a bit about it when he realised that the police had got involved and confiscated the coat. He threatened to stay in the bedroom during the eviction (against the rules) if the coat wasn't returned. It wasn't, so he didn't come out for the eviction, or to say goodbye to Rula.

At one point, Preston tried to lighten the mood by squirting Pete with water. It was funny until Pete seemed to turn mean/vindictive and squirted washing up liquid all over Preston and his jumper.

The show ended with a bizarre confrontational and heated argument between Dennis and Michael over access to cigarettes.

He reminds me of my sil when she was in the process of having a nervous breakdown. The lack of sleep, the obsessiveness, the ticks, the slurred talking, she had all of that. I actually think bb should get him out fairly soon. I dont think hes going to cope with the exit as it will be so different to his entrance. I feel really sorry for him.

Thanks for that, earlybird and lucy. Pete really is a monster, isn't he. So the police came in and just helped themselves to the coat, did they? And is it right that George advised him to sue for compensation?

gg thought pete should be compensated for having his coat rmoved. Gg now siding with fur wearers is surely going to get him into more trouble in rl. I dont know who advised him to go on but what a mistake.

What did everyone make of that bizarre argument between Dennis and Michael?

I haven't really been watching (tonight was first full show I've seen), but it does seem that BB has given this group far less to do than in the past. There are no tasks or challenges that I've seen - is that right? Other than that strange sitting in the box challenge that didn't last long....I guess they're all bored to tears, so all the insecurities come out.

Also, don't know if it simply isn't shown, but the obvious thing to do (it seems to me) to pass the time would be to talk to each other about their lives - ask Dennis about playing basketball or Madonna or ask George about politics, ask Pete about his music days or his sexual orientation and coming to terms with it etc etc. But they don't seem to find much entertainment in each other....

lucy5 - OMG, I hadn't thought about that. Even though I've taken a dislike to him, MB is going to be Mega-shocked when he gets Booed on his eviction.

He'll completely break down, I think all the housemates think he is going to win.

I watched the arguement live and to me it seemed to come out of nowhere, dennis had the cigs and michael didnt like it even though he had his own. He just went on and on and on. Appparently mb has been hoarding cigs. The show tonight made it look like dennis got angry very quickly but it did take some time. The theory is , that mb is stressed because pb is getting all the attention. God i've got to get a life!

yes dennis looked much worse in the edited version. This is the first year I have had sky and its incredible how much editing comes into play and how much difference it makes.
