Anyone also watching with me tonight?
I've had a rough day and could do with a cry at cute babies and a laugh at stupid and endearing things couples do/say. Grin

So lovely to see the skin to skin. Aw I want another! :)

CotherMuckingFunt · 18/01/2012 21:46

I want another baby soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much

sheeplikessleep · 18/01/2012 21:47

Magneto All my contractions were in my back, totally. Felt like a metal bar being whacked against my back. Both times and DS1 and DS2 weren't b2b.

LoveInAColdClimate · 18/01/2012 21:47

I am watching torn between horror that I have to do this soon and excitement that it means I will have that moment when the baby is suddenly there and a real person.

amandine07 · 18/01/2012 21:47

Rowena is hardcore! makes me realise that when I was a medical student doing Obs & Gyn, nearly everyone had had an epidural...the ones screaming like her were the just G&A ones, blimey, and there weren't that many at all.

CotherMuckingFunt · 18/01/2012 21:48

I was in labour for 8 weeks with dd. Each contraction was everyfuckingwhere.

Rosemallow · 18/01/2012 21:49

Handmini you're so right, a miracle! Sobs even more!

Egg · 18/01/2012 21:49

I was flat on my back when my three were born. They were quite quick labours (4 hrs from first inkling anything was happening). I couldnt have been in any other position I felt like I needed to be lying down.

working9while5 · 18/01/2012 21:50

Any of you ladies knowledgeable about b2b know if an anterior placenta makes it more likely and what I can do? I was b2b last time, ended up with rotational forceps delivery. Keen to avoid. Doing pregnancy yoga and all that malarkey...

LoveInAColdClimate · 18/01/2012 21:50

8 weeks, Cother?!

MilkNoSugarAndAShotofWhisky · 18/01/2012 21:50

This Nicky bloke sounds like a stand up guy Hmm

Heatherhills · 18/01/2012 21:50

See he's just trying to use you, stay away!

scarletforya · 18/01/2012 21:50

That dickhead texting Leanne. Angry Poor thing is lapping it up.

ShowOfHands · 18/01/2012 21:50

LoveIn, how lovely. The birth, though absolutely imprinted on us at a fundamental level, is only a moment. What you've got to come is so much more awesome. Oh you have no idea. When your baby's pudgy little hand curls round the back of your neck as you pick them up and breathe them in, ohhhhhh.

5inthebed · 18/01/2012 21:51

I am liking brown bob MW, she seems lovely.

I want to scream though "put the farking Blackberry down!!"

MilkNoSugarAndAShotofWhisky · 18/01/2012 21:51

:o love her assistant

Magneto · 18/01/2012 21:51

sheeps dh has always said ds was born face up I just never realised it meant he was b2b (I was on my back to give birth - as I said g&a knocked me out - I couldn't turn my head never mind support my own weight Grin)

Egg I was on my back for DS too for a quick labour. Think its encouraged if its going fast as it slows it down a bit..?

Bit late, but ds was born at Leeds Hospital. This baby will be Pontefract MLU, home or at a push Pinderfields. I will not be going back to that hospital!

Gonna watch rest of this tomorrow.

fuckityfuckfuckfuck · 18/01/2012 21:52

I had anterior placentas with both back to back babies. I have a 'normal' one this time and so far baby is in perfect position but still 9 weeks for that to change. I was told babies like to face their placentas.

CotherMuckingFunt · 18/01/2012 21:52

Love yep! Grin

It started at 30 weeks, they tried to stop it at 32 weeks but couldn't and it carried on until 38 weeks when I had to have an emcs because my old cs scar was rupturing. Apparently I have a 'link' missing that lets my cervix know what my uterus is up to Hmm

TreasureoftheSierraMadre · 18/01/2012 21:52
