Am a teensy bit excited. Grin Grin Grin And NOT pregnant this series, so can watch without that sense of impending doom.

OP posts:

Beth and Cap boy.

They just seemed like a normal young couple to me. Comments about her being fat, him being a nob, them being on Jeremy Kyle for a DNA test next etc etc.

People are such bloody snobs.

pfft

ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 04/01/2012 22:12

We didn't see him ask about his partner or baby GetHerOff, but he may well have done. We must see a fraction of what is actually filmed.

I have to admit to being relieved that Beth's mum seemed so calm and controlled though. She'll hopefully be helping them out.

Sorry MrsDV, but that just made me (and DP) laugh out loud. I hope he's not still a twit Grin

OhDoAdmitMrsDeVere · 04/01/2012 22:15

netto course there are tons of gits like that out there. But we cant tell from this programe what he will be like really can we?
Any of the Dads could be wife beating pyschos and we wouldnt know unless they said 'i am a wife beating pyscho'.

My least favourite dad was that policeman in the very first series, prog 1. So I suppose I am just as liable to judge Grin

BroomForMyChin · 04/01/2012 22:15

Oh I missed the thread Sad can I join next week?

FrillyMilly · 04/01/2012 22:16

I dont think the army family woman (can't remember name) had an epidural because she could feel the pressure, pain and was using gas and air. Wasn't she lying down because of the clip on the baby?

I can't wait for next weeks!! I hope my baby is here before then though as I found it quite tough watching tonight.

Sparklingbrook · 04/01/2012 22:17

It seemed a lot less 'fly on the wall' than it used to be, Acting up to the cameras by Midwives and parents.

OhDoAdmitMrsDeVere · 04/01/2012 22:18

GetHerOffTheBloodyBed · 04/01/2012 22:20

she did have an epidural - you could see the filter bit on her shoulder. just not working particularly well maybe.

ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 04/01/2012 22:22

Right, I'm off to bed and to gaze adoringly at LO after getting teary at tonight's programme

See you next week ladies Grin

BertieBotts · 04/01/2012 22:24

I agree with you netto.

stripeywoollenhat · 04/01/2012 22:28

no broodiness here - crossing legs at thought of 10 pounder. Shock

i'm not saying kurt's as much of an arse as the wall punching suggests, but if she wants her mother rather than her partner when in alarming situations (and i do understand why, her mother seemed very reassuring) they are going to have a tough time with the stress of a newborn, i'd say.

giraffesCanGoFirstFootingOnNYE · 04/01/2012 22:30

yo netty :)

BertieBotts · 04/01/2012 22:32

Nobody needs to punch walls Hmm

Northernlurker · 04/01/2012 23:35

Some people - particularly some young people - struggle to control frustration and anger. No it's not pretty to see. No I wouldn't want him in Delivery with me like that BUT - he apologised for his reaction, he didn't punch people (walls not great but better than the mil etc) he came back and he calmed down. He's obviously very young and I do think this relationship has the odds against it but I can see why he was flipping out. Young, scared, realised he was missing the birth, felt totally out of control - recipe for disaster unfortunately.

piprabbit · 04/01/2012 23:53

Personally it looked like attention seeking to me. Gradually escalating behaviour until everyone is drawn into looking after/dealing with the person throwing the tantrum.

I'm sure there are valid reasons for his behaviour - but I get panicky and upset being around people like that. I'm not sure they can be trusted to control themselves when they really need to.

stripygiraffe · 05/01/2012 05:37

Hmmm just been thinking about the dates again though. If hat boy couple was meant to be January - it didn't LOOK like January! Wasn't the whole of the uk covered in snow with sub zero temperatures?

Just a-wondering Smile

Kayzr · 05/01/2012 07:55

The hat boy couple must have been Jan 2010. He was keeping up with the Leeds Vs Man Utd game when Leeds won. So had to be Jan 2010 or Feb 2004.
