Aww thanks guys, it was easy at first, now 14 months on its more effort, but still losing :)

As for ill health, yes much much better, just had awful muscle wastage after being bed bound for about 3 months so its taken a while to build it up enough to exercise. Bring it on!

I had a 'friend' who had a gastric band but now liquidises Mars Bars. It has kind of tainted my viewpoint about surgical interventions for weight loss.

I know they have to be tough but it just seems too hard when the contestants are obviously not used to any exercise. I am surprised it is even good for you to do it that quickly rather than build up gradually?

I reckon those girls won't last. Too much attitude, like.

I hope they do though cos they will both be GORGE if they can lose a bit

friend gastric bands are so so different to bypass. I can eat barely ANY sugar or fat or get awful awful side effects. My issues were portion size anyway, so its been perfect for me having a stomach the size of an egg cup :) Ive had no problems at all, followed the rules, lost the weight :) Ill health last year was not weight loss surgery re;ated thankfully!
