Can't believe there isn't a thread already!

Can't wait for tonight: the first series was amazing, and far too short!

Plus Benedict Cumberbatch = yum!

ElectricSoftParade · 01/01/2012 10:17

I am really looking forward to this Grin.

HarrietJones · 01/01/2012 10:40

Marking my place!!!

KurriKurri · 01/01/2012 11:37

Looking forward to this - I didn't realise it was on so early though.

Elijah · 01/01/2012 13:45

I am looking forward to it too. But I am not holding my expectations too high, as I don't want to be disappointed, like I was with the Top Gear Christmas Special in India. That deserves a thread of its own.

Can't wait!!

newbabynewmum · 01/01/2012 19:05

I'm overly excited. Am watching the last episode now so I'm ready for it! need to get a life this year

Trills · 01/01/2012 19:08

Excited!

Benny is not my type though. Neither is Arthur Dent. I do love that he managed to get into an argument with a self service checkout.

SantasCave · 01/01/2012 19:14

Funny that Arthur's not your type Trills, but then you were always more partial to the 2 headed type Wink

Can i just say, that lara pulver as irene adler is so gorgeous it's making my eyes bleed, but no fucking way is she only 31 Hmm

RustyBear · 01/01/2012 20:51

And yes, she does tweet as @The Whip Hand.....

RustyBear · 01/01/2012 20:53

According to imdb, she was born in 1980, ScarlettPimpernel...

SantasCave · 01/01/2012 21:41

So, thoughts?

I enjoyed it Grin

OP posts:
Trills · 01/01/2012 21:43

I thought that about her being "obviously" born in the 80s. The heavy makeup made her look older, she looked much younger when she was pretending to have no makeup on.

I love the little references to other cases - it was the gardener, nobody noticed the earring.

Flossie69 · 01/01/2012 21:46

Have just been glued to this - bloody fantastic, I thought!

spikemomma · 01/01/2012 21:50

It's such good viewing; funny, gripping, moving. Just brilliant. Love it!

HarrietJones · 01/01/2012 22:02

Can't decide which bits I like best!

hermioneweasley · 01/01/2012 22:04

I didn't think it made any sense!

NoseyNooNoo · 01/01/2012 22:15

Were we supposed to believe that he had rescued her in Karachi? And I think the actress should either play Northern women or learn how to do a Southern accent without any 'twang'.

CuriousMama · 01/01/2012 22:39

I found the ending funny. Also found it a bit confusing but then again I was doing a painting and dss were watching more than me. I'll probably watch it again as missed first 10 minutes.

catpark · 02/01/2012 00:31

I really liked her version of Irene Adler. Much better than the film version.

LineRunner · 02/01/2012 00:39

My DCs want to know why they were blown up in the swimming pool at the end of the last series, but not at the start of this one?

Furball · 02/01/2012 06:20

At the start - It continued on from that exact moment linerunner

Eggrules · 02/01/2012 09:00

I loved it. Sharp and funny. I may watch it again.

Steven Moffat's Sherlock reminds me of The Doctor (no bad thing).

LineRunner · 02/01/2012 11:57

So Furball this is a parallel universe / alternative future reality?
