dd2 cried when they announced on cbeebies that Amy and Rory are leaving. Are they in part of the next series? I like the idea of a new companion, though - an alien would be nice... Did they ever do that? Was Leela an alien?

I'm another one counting down the days! OH not so much as he's not a Matt Smith fan, TBH I am still missing David. Can't say if he's the best Doctor but he certainly was "The Doctor". I've been catching up with the old ones on BT, my 3yo is loving it. She actually squeed earlier when Watch showed a trailer! My 5yo thinks it's too scary for her whereas the 6mo will just watch anything on TV (it's genetic from their dad)

its all set to record me and DC are so excited about it , but we need peace and quiet and no DH around to watch it , we will be at my mums so when i get home it will be Pjs and a we baileys to watch it

I was hoping he was going to keep the blue-head-in-a-box bloke as his companion. I really liked him, he was funny.

I suppose a head in a box can't do much in the way of the Being Chased Down Seemingly Interminable Corridors school of acting, which is a big part of even the modern Dr Who. But still.

i may boast, but i never spoil...

other than to say that my 6 year old and 3 year old were both fine watching it, and the elder in particular is a big feartie.
