She did seem to come a bit adrift at one point I think... Lovely dress though.

She definitely drew the eye in that, I barely looked at Jason.

Agree re Holly - she seems to have got fatter through the series and I wondered if she was pregnant.

Sorry was AWOL earlier...had to watch on a delay & didn't want to spoil things by commenting as I went!

My thoughts:
Harry was incredible both dances. And his VW deserved a 40! Bloody Craig! IMO Chelsee's Paso seemed hesitant & unsure in places, she caught her heel (not her fault I guess) & I'm sure she apologised to Pasha at the end it wasn't 'clean' and he gave her a 10!! NOT impresed!!!
Alex's waltz was beautiful....salsa not so much!
Jason's Samba was lacking something....his AT was fab, loved it, deserved a 40!
Holly, AT was undermarked IMHO (what do I know ) but she definitely ran out of steam half way through. I thought she was looking erm...rounder and possibly PG?! Might explain the exhaustion.

Harry, Chelsee and Jason prob in the final. Would like Holly instead of Jason but she's not well liked so prob won't happen. Want Harry to win...with some 40s!!

I didn't think much of Holly's costumes tonight either tbh. She looked very busty in the charleston outfit, and not in a good way.

bebeballroom - I think one of us is a mind reader ... I came on to post, read yours and realised that you've just said everything I wanted to say!! The only thing I disagree a bit about is Craig's reaction to Chelsee's heel - he probably marked her higher for it as it didn't affect her dancing at all.

Was it just me or did Jason seem to be overly affectionate towards Kristina at the end? He kissed her twice on the temple while they were talking to Tess and then when she was doing her bit to camera, and they were behind her, he was rubbing K's stomach ... maybe I'm just seeing things that aren't there ...

I'm just re-watching on iPlayer (I know, I know, I have no life but I can re-watch the dances without the faffing), and I have severely gone off Artem. When Holly was really upset he just stood there and moaned that they weren't on schedule.

Right result, imo.

TigersChick - I think it did affect her dancing, but to me the whole dance looked 'off'

Have to say I thought exactly the same about Holly - her stomach has definitely got bigger as the series has gone on which is very unusual

If I remember correctly, Emma Bunton also discovered she was pregnant towards the end and surprisingly got voted out at the semi-final stage which I am convinced was so she didn't have to do the lifts in the showdance...although Holly being voted out this week would not be that much of a surprise would it?

I was wondering about Holly too but I think it's because when they started she was covered up more and had layers/ruffles etc. As she's got more confident in the show and wardrobe she's now down to a single layer with no camoflauge and so I think that her body is just more exposed than it was. I think the hands in front of the stomach is her being self-conscious. Also, IMO if you aren't extremely slim and you have any kind of a bust then a one shouldered top isn't at all flattering. I loved her red dress though and thought she looked fantastic in her black and red paso dress last week. She's probably slimmer than most of us IRL!

Have re-watched the dances on youtube:

Holly - LOVED the AT, thought the judges would hate it though so was surprised at comments and scores.
LOVED the concept of the Charleston but it didn't work with Holly. Either she was tired or ...something but she definitely didn't give it her all. Would love to see Chelsee dancing that dance, it'd be out of this world.

Chelsee - I had tears in my eyes with both dances, and that's never happened to me before. Such a confidence boost for her to get Craig's first 10 and the series first 40, very very well deserved and I want her to win!

Alex - Waltz was very pretty but nothing special. Salsa - her confidence had gone and it ruined it. Nice girl but...

Harry - ok. nothing special. I think he is always overmarked. Dreading their showdance should they go through to next week as unlike the other pros, I have a feeling Aliona will choreograph it to showcase herself, selfish little smug cah that she is.

Jason - AT, yes he acted the part well, but he is an actor. he didn't dance the part well imo and did not deserve that score. Plus he gave me the creeps

How many dances do they do next week? One and a showdance or two and a showdance? Can't remember! Also, how does the scoring work in the final?

Really, really hope that the lovely Pasha plays to Chelsee's strengths and doesn't go and do a showdance like Artem and Kara did last week - loved their dance throughout that series but absolutely hated that dance.

Two and a showdance I think - possibly a competitive VW or something as well.

That's why I think Holly shouldn't get through.

Yes, I think it's a new dance and most highly scored favourite dance so far, plus a showdance. Do you think we'll see everyone's this year, or just the top two?

The Grand Final

The Grand Final of Strictly Come Dancing 2011 will be on Saturday 17th December from Blackpool. The three remaining couples will all dance again but this time the judges' comments and scores will be for reference only. The Champions of Strictly Come Dancing 2011 will be decided purely by the public vote.

Phone lines will open after all three couples have danced for the first time. Lines will then be frozen at a time announced on the programme. The couple with fewest votes will be eliminated at the start of the Results show.

In the very unlikely event of two couples being tied at the bottom of the phone vote Head Judge Len Goodman will have the casting vote so that one couple will still be eliminated. The phone lines will then be reopened but all the votes already cast for the two remaining couples will still count and will be carried over.

The two remaining couples will dance twice more for your votes in the Results show before the lines are closed and the winner announced.

I cant wait for the results tonight PFFT @xfactor tis all about SCD , id like to see chelsee alex in the final , Harry is through anyway hes a good dancer but hes no personality . jason donavan creeps me out a little bit im not sure what it is about him

I want Chelsee to win.

Harry is a good dancer, but does nothing for me - I just can't see any spark, or personality. Even in his charleston, there was (for me) nothing from him, personally - lots of completing the steps, good timing etc, but just missing something for me.

I think Jason has done really well to get this far - he is a very hard worker, and undoubtedly performs really well, with great characterisation, but his timing is ropey at best (and always was - look back at some of his music videos, and he can barely tap feet in time to an obvious Stock/Aitken/Waterman beat ), and so to have managed, through sheer hard work to get to the level he has is impressive, imo.

Not sure how Holly would cope with multiple dances if she goes through - she was totally out of puff, and agree that she struggled with that characterisation/didn't seem to throw herself into it, but maybe that was lack of energy?
