Lottie they all basically spouted words to the effect of: 'I'm basing my decision on tonight's sing-off... and last night's performances... and all the other performances... and what my mum says... and on my horoscope for today... and on a whole range of other factors that really aren't relevant... ' The actual sing-off has never IMO been a basis for any decision - with the possible exception of Ruth Lorenzo's Purple Rain.

silverymoon yes,there were four to start with, includingh Beyonce and Kelly, then the other two left acrimoniously, and Michelle Williams and another one (who later also left) came in to replace them. It's the four of them on The Writing's On The Wall, my favourite album of theirs.

Poor Janet, I felt from the auditions that she was still too young to be put through x factor. Her character really never came through. kelly really didn't know what to do with her as her voice is so unique.

I think she would have been better off trying to forge an independant music career on her own. Probably scuppered that now.

Those really unprofessional bullying rumours have probably prevented Mischa from winning.

Nothing outstanding this year. Kelly should have been given the groups.

well I missed the whole programme apart from the final sing off because literally everyone in my house is ill, even the dog.

I'm sure Little Mix (as Rhythmix) were in the bottom two at the beginning? Anyway, I want Little Mix to win. I think Marcus will have a better career if he doesn't win.

I want to know what janet said to Dermie when she turned round after being told she was going- I get she swore like a trouper! I'm glad she has gone, her voice ws grating, and neither unique or any good. I feel for Mischa, I do think she she has a good, strong voice. And she has been consistent. The judges have had to save her, as the public will vote for who they like- it is very much a popularity thing- they can't always be relied on to vote en masse for the best act.

The Muppets for me were the best thing of the night. Bring back the Muppets to Sunday night telly!

I loved the Muppets too By a complete coincidence, I had just bought some PJ's for myself with Animal all over them and the DS's kept asking me who it was (DS2 thinks it is a monster and keeps running away from me saying 'too scary'). Anyway, I was well chuffed to be able to show the DC this morning exactly who Animal is and that he is not a figment of my imagination

Looks like Janet has been rather ungracious in her loss - caught the end of her interview on This Morning and she was moaning about how if she doesn't feel a connection with the song, then she can't be expected to remember the words
