Pinot - thanks for the inside track! Glad to hear Artem is not aloof in RL - he certainly comes across that way. Sounds like you had an amazing time and what a great idea to stick around afterwards, you've got some great memories there! Was Claudia tiny in RL - she looks mini next to Tess!

Yup, Claudia is wee. I didn't see her close up ths year, but last year she was 2 seats away. Tess is just so slender too

Just popping in to say thanks to cavemum and scatterchasse for the links - will be checking some of them out this week.

Very shocked to see Holly and Artem in the bottom two - DT2 was ready to cry had they gone out. Agree that it was time for Russell to go - odd that in the first couple of weeks he managed a few (well one or two) decent dance steps but the last few weeks he's just got more and more camp and any attempts at dancing have completely disappeared.

I'd have liked to see Jason in the bottom two - can't stand him and can't see why the judges thought his jive was so great, apart from the c*ck-up. In fact this year there don't seem to be any celebrities who are as good as in previous years...we only started watching properly the year Camilla and Tom won, but there doesn't seem to be anyone in the same league as Kara or Matt from last year.

Robin is out of Saturday's show

He has an infection in his foot and it is so swollen he cannot stand, so definitely no dancing for at least 48 hours.

Anita will dance with SCD "rent-a-pro" Brendan.

He's been told to take complete rest for 48 hours while the antibiotics kick in, so can't train and therefore can't dance on Saturday.

I think that Anita should be the next to go but by switching partners to Brendan she'll get his fan base and/or the sympathy vote and so maybe will survive this week.

I know it was time for The Grant to go but I just don't feel that Holly Valance wants to be there as much as the other contestants.

She always seems a bit aloof to me.

Having said that I do tend to judge the celebs on their personalities and enthusiasm and, of course, if they say thank you or not to the camera/public when they find out they're safe for another week

Russell should still be in it based on personality alone (obviously NOT on dance ability).

Equally I think if we could bottle his joie de vivre and all sup on a daily basis the world would be a better place.

Now he has gone - sniff! - the only other worthy winner would be Chelsea. I can't bear her collagen/silicone enhanced-ness but she is always soooo grateful to be still in the competition.

A definite no no to win is Harry. He's already had a go on Children in Need or summat and also gives the impression that he thinks he's doing SCD a favour by being there.

I do get a bit overly involved in these things..............

Thanks for the inside information Pinot - I love hearing what everyone is like in RL. And you met my favourite pro Ian. My fantasy dance would be a jive with him I think. I know next to nothing about dancing but always get really into SCD and ITT. not keen on Tess though - always looks dead behind the eyes. Like a shark.
Poor Robin. I like watching Brendan though

I think Anita should go next but it would be cruel if she went this Sat when she's not dancing with Robin. Avada you didn't mention Alex and James - they're a bit forgettable aren't they? Probably Robbie to go this weekend (especially as he didn't look at Pinot whilst signing his autograph). At this point it's not the end of the world for them as they'll go on the tour - Russell included I guess.

Oh yes.. I thought there was one missing lol Yes maybe it is because they are nice but dim... they can slot in between Jason and Robbie then :)

Why Mark Foster for the tour? He's the only one who isn't from this year and stands out like a sore thumb. And why on earth put Nancy in?! At least poor Anton doesn't have to hoof her around, it'll be Artem - wonder if his back will mysteriously go again

I would love Anita to stay. She tries so hard and really loves doing the dancing. Seems to put her heart and soul into it and she comes over as a lovely, warm person. To be honest, I would like to see Holly go as I think she does not try her best and she looks as if she is doing us a favour by being there as far as I am concerned. Cannot warm to her at all. Rather keen on Robbie though but agree he is not the greatest dancer. Like tkband3 I would like to see Jason go as I just cannot warm to him and I don't think his dancing is good enough either.

I am really worried that Alex and James are going to win. The judges seem to be fawning all over her now that she's pulled herself together to do a bit of dancing. I think James' choreography is just very clever and always shows her in a very good light by managing to hide the fact that she's not nearly as good as some of the others.

I couldn't stand Chelsee at the start, but I am kind of cheering for her now. Robbie won't win, but he always seems so pleased and humbled to get applauded for his work, it's so cute.

I'll eat my glitterball if Alex wins. She hasn't got the public support, I'm sure of it. Harry, Chelsee or possibly Jason (though I hope not, much as I love Kristyna) FTW.

Think I agree about Holly. I thought she was just reserved at first, and she'd have sone sort of Strictly epiphany where she'd burst out of the 'too cool for school' shell and wow us all. But I don't think it's going to happen - that's all there is to Holly, it seems. Shame for Artem when he's so fabulouso.

I do like Anita but her legs seem to flop about a lot < technical term >.

I'm a Chelsee convert - the lips/tits put me off at the start, but she's so self-effacing and seems to have a fantastic partnership with Pascha. I thought her samba on Saturday was fab, the bit where she was dancing on her own was brilliant!

Did anyone else think that "relax" was just completely the wring song for a tango? I thought their dancing was great, but I was almost tempted to turn the sound down as the song choice really bugged me!

In my little fantasy world I think "Paint it Black" by the Rolling Stones would make a fantastic tango (or possibly Paso) track - anyone else got any fantasy strictly songs?
