New thread, mark your places for tonight's show

After much lurking on this thread, I am posting to agree that Wembley didn't work and that I thought Chelsee was great. Also, on ITT on Thursday (possibly, I can't remember exactly), did anyone else hear Zoe refer to Erin dancing in a wolf costume as a 'big bad wolef'?!

Yes, Yahboosnubs I spotted it too! I re-wound it a few times just to make sure, but she definitely said "wolef"!

I noticed that too. Bizarre section though, how on earth are you supposed to guess?

Entertaining stuff on Dig Spy - they normally get the spoiler slightly before Tess reads out the results in the studio, and that normally doesn't matter, but at Wembley they couldn't confiscate all the audience phones, so some audience members were logged on and discovered the results before the contestants did - .

If anyone is on Facebook, the Strictly page asked everyone what they thought of Wemberlee and it looks as if it was a resounding "rubbish"

Another one very disappointed with the Wembley show tonight. Hope they ditch it next year - it just didn't work.

First time on this thread, but agree with everyone else that tonight's show was a real let-down - dances were very average, costumes were awful and the band was just disaaaastrous .

Slightly off-topic - DD1 would love to learn latin...we're in North London - does anyone know of anywhere that does latin classes for children?

so how are they going to even try to pretend the results show is not on Saturday now?

what do they do? pretend they got a second audience for Wembley?!

wil they still pretend it's not straight after the show tomorrow, or do they concede that the results show is not live for this week?

How do they get the spoiler? I presumed it was from people in the audience who had heard Tess read it out. Is that not how it works?

In the past it's been from audience members, but recently it's been arriving slightly quicker than is possible from that source, so presumably from a show insider.

They never flat out lie about the Sunday show being pre-recorded, just fluff over the details a little.

I've not looked, but I'm a bit worried about Holly- I think Robbie has much more support and after last week Anita fans might have voted.

Perhaps she's banished to a sofa in the green room Aitch, so she doesn't upset the illusion! Or she actually does live in a cupboard at TV centre.

well she'll certainly be watching it on a monitor somewhere, so sure... but that's deffo not the impression she's trying to give. am just wathcing the beginning, which i missed. it was crud from the start, wasn't it? mind you, does make me think that wembley arena is a crappy venue, full stop.

No, you're right. I can't understand why after 4/5(?) series, they're still doing it.

It reminded me of Disney on Ice when they all came out clapping. I was expecting Mickey and Minnie to come out at the end.

tkband3 try this site for dance teachers. The ISTD are a world renowned organisation so t provides some quality control for teachers. There are other societies as well, but I've done all my training through ISTD.

and yes, exactly scatter. all claudia has to do is NOT say 'i was sitting at home' and then she won't be a weirdy liar.

CaveMum how would the ISTD classes work? Is it grades or medals? (I've only done theatre dance before with grades/medals etc., the ballroom I'm doing is just classes).

Sorry, meant to add I'd quite like to do a class with 'exams'.

ISTD do medals and grades too, it all depends on what the individual teachers offer. I'm doing both medals and grades in Latin as I'm trying to get my teaching qualification and my teacher thinks people are better prepared for the teaching exams if they've worked their way up.

I'm learning ballroom with my husband so we are taking it steady and have only done a Bronze in Social Foxtrot. I'll probably end up teaching ballroom too though so my teacher is teaching us from that aspect.
My teacher is an examiner with the ISTD and sits on the Latin and Ballroom boards.
