Looks like im a lone mnetter in wishing Frankie had stayed. T he show is total shite this year and i love it when the gbp rebel.

MrsSchadenfreude · 08/11/2011 16:39

Either Breathy Janet or Shouty Mary from last year to do the Kirsty McColl bit in Fairytale of New York. Kitty would be too busy removing her trousers to do it.

Lulu is out of strictly...
Weeeeeeelllll It was Christmas Eve Babe...

LadyBeagleEyes · 08/11/2011 16:48

No Sue, you'll never turn me off it.
I don't care about the lyrics particularly, I just love the Irishness of it. And Kirsty.

you know, whatever people think of Franky in terms of his performance/his attitude etc, if it really is cocaine he has been doing, then I think it is tremendously sad.

He is just eighteen. Yes it is not uncommon for eighteen year olds to experiment with drugs, but still... he is just eighteen. He is bearly a child, and yet for some on here he has almost become a hate figure. I think that's pretty sad, actually.

SilveryMoon · 08/11/2011 17:18

Marking this thread for a good read later. Smile

SuePurblybilt · 08/11/2011 17:22

Not sure of your point wannaBe? We hated him before he did drugs. In fact, most of us were irritated by/squeamish about him and hated the stupid sexist posturing that Bazza made him do more than we hated him.

I'm so not going to have the Clagger argument again. Grin

Frankie for the jungle!

BornSicky · 08/11/2011 17:40

i thought he was a tosser from the outset. Anyone who thinks it's acceptable to tattoo women's names on his arse is a knob as far as I'm concerned.

Also thought the producers and judges were awful for putting through someone so horrifically sexist.

uniCorny · 08/11/2011 17:56

He could be the next face oF Iceland perhaps? My local Iceland is vv skanky anyway.

youarekidding · 08/11/2011 18:27

Grin at shiney I got the subtle hint from capitals and reversed alphabetnedness!

What a Cock.

He was crap and couldn't sing and tbh he didn't even look like he was aware what was going on on Saturday night.

If the rumours are true, then it could be a case that he really didnt know what was going on on Saturday Night.

wannaBe · 08/11/2011 19:08

But he has been manufactured as a hate figure.

Don't get me wrong - I don't like him either and don't think he should have been in the competition.

But the fact he is in the competition is not of his doing - he has been put through because the producers know that his bad boy image will A, attract the votes of the younger teens, and B, infuriate the rest of the viewers and make the show more ttalk-worthy.

In reality Franky isn't doing anything that most students his age aren't doing. Drinking to excess every other night, sleeping with multiple partners, sometimes doing drugs - it goes on on university campuses up and down the country every week. The only difference is that Franky is doing it on a public platform.

No it wasnt manufactured..he's just a cocky, arrogant knob and that's why we hate him and his hair.

EmmaRoyd · 08/11/2011 19:20

Tomorrow's story will be how he's off to rehab, the fecking wannabe.

I bet M&S are wishing they'd stuck with Twiggy.

i agree he was encouraged, who's to say he hasn't had a part in all today's furore?

He was/is objectionable though.

Yes, 18 yr olds get smashed, experiment, blah, blah, but get the names of girls they've slept with tattooed on their arses? that's one huge step further on. misogynistic, belittling and just plain gross. and then the judges found it funny?

I posted months ago when he came to audition that I was gobsmacked that Kelly "Miss Independent Woman" Rowland thought Frankie was adorable and hilarious... I still am.

LeBOF · 08/11/2011 19:30

He is nineteen. A young man, whi has lived away from home for quite a while. He knew what he was doing, and knew he was pissing his big break up the wall. He just thought he didn't need to try.
