He is someone's son, yes. An equally skanky father who boasts about his son's sexual conquests and his own. Apples and trees and all that.

oh, well this will add to the weekend ratings.

It was inevitable, wasnt it, that he would screw up big time?

Half agree with Twiga, he clearly couldn't take the pressure. But, ooooh, I hope they bring Johnny back.

MintAero · 08/11/2011 14:28

Shine - could you write a sentence and make the letter Bold in one of the words to give a hint??

BornSicky · 08/11/2011 14:28

it is inevitable that they would manufacture him to fail like this, absolutely. what else should beexpected of a programme that says come sing for a prize and then takes over every aspect of your life, your family's lives and puts all of it in the media,.,.

cannon fodder.

on Digital Spy there is a poster saying he's been caught smoking dope in the contestants' house.

Whatever he's done I think Gary Barlow comes out of all this looking very shabby-all the encouragement of Frankie being 'wild' and a 'bad boy' sits very poorly with his 'good old cuddly Bazza/stalwart of Children in Need/charidee' image that he has liked to proect lately

ChristinedePizanne · 08/11/2011 14:32

:o @ Poundland Pete Docherty

thousandDenier · 08/11/2011 14:32

as per other thread, this actually works quite well for him. He's saved the humiliation of being voted out and gets to look all rawkandroll.

Could he have planned it?

Twiga · 08/11/2011 14:34

Bornsicky, he has indeed been manufactured to fail and cannon fodder for sure. Right back at judges houses when Robbie told Gary to make sure Frankie didn't behave if he took him through. The expectation from day one has been that he would be controversial. Something very distasteful about the whole sorry saga.

JaxTellerIsMyFriend · 08/11/2011 14:36

ah i see shiney I had heard that Marcus and Craig were nice blokes. Didnt hear about any of the girls though.

MyMelody · 08/11/2011 14:38

thousanddenier think you could be onto something there, its all worked out quite nicely for him surely? maximum tabloid exposure, no getting voted off, 'rawknroll' exactly

MintAero · 08/11/2011 14:40

Shiney thanks, I have Caught up with you now!

BornSicky · 08/11/2011 14:40

yup Twiga and the producers get to say to Ofcom and the public... look we got rid of the nasty, nasty man. It's ok kiddies get back to watching rihanna in her underwear and don't ever dream of being a norty rawknroll star.

it's all so silly, yet compelling nonsense.

why does it all feel somewhat like the X-Factor version of The Matrix?

Haven't really watched this as I found the whole sending home of half the contestants who'd been put through despicable. But that Frankie was taken on at the expense of another desperate young hopeful, who I thought could actually sing (John Wilding, mentioned on another thread).

Watching the comments from the judges at his audition: 'omg you belong on a stage,' 'for a guy to sing Jennifer Hudson is amazing, you hit every note,' then they tell him to go home, basically because Frankie cried harder and had a dodgy fringe afaict - how unfair is that?
If lil old me at home, hearing those judges' comments, thinks, well he's made it, prob be in the final at least, what does it do to the head of that 19yo boy who gets a standing ovation from the judges yet ends up at home watching everyone else? Where's the judges' integrity when their highest praise means nothing?

I love seeing people get up and show genuine talent, but I can't watch that and don't know how anyone can.

aw WYWY have a wee hug and a tissue. Grin

< Breaks down > thanks!

JaxTellerIsMyFriend · 08/11/2011 14:52

And another thing. Gary BArlow said this; "I promised that I would never lie to a contestant about their performance, I apologise, I did - you were shit (sic) not very good"

THEN last week he sort of bollocked himself for choosing wrong song for wanky Frankie - and then said "well done mate, good performance"

oh Gazza, you just fibbed again. DOH!

JaxTellerIsMyFriend · 08/11/2011 14:52
SuePurblybilt · 08/11/2011 14:55

Surely the Golden Rule is to do with singing either Adele or Coldplay at some stage? Did he refuse to do it?

chipstick10 · 08/11/2011 14:56

Clearly the gbp cannot be trusted to do as they are told and cannot be trusted with a vote so to stop him being kept in as a protest vote (coz the xf is shite this year) Mr Cowell has taken care of the problem for us. Thanks for that Si
