Just watching xtra

MrsSchadenfreude · 06/11/2011 21:06

I have just had a look at Kitty's wikipedia entry, which states that she used to be a man! Someone who doesn't like her has obviously had a go at that!

and and I got some more X factor inside info last night.

We all know the contestants go into the booths and sing. Well only a few booths have the golden tickets so if your good and go into a non gold ticket booth then tough titties.

I bet Johnny does really well, he appeals to a niche market & will probably have a long & happy career doing certain pubs, clubs & venues & earn loads money.

Good for him!!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 06/11/2011 21:13

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo - can't believe that Hairy Twat Boy and Pant Woman have gone through, whilst the lovely Johnny hasn't. That's it - I'm not watching it anymore.

"We all know the contestants go into the booths and sing. Well only a few booths have the golden tickets so if your good and go into a non gold ticket booth then tough titties."

I don't understand.

Before contestents get through to the stage suaditions they have to go into booths and sing. They are asked then if they have any interesting story about themselves. If not then it's goodbye. But it turns out that some booths they just say - well we have no golden tickets here - so even if singers are good they don't get to the stage auditions.

Thats why when really crap people audition they are actually Shock to be told they're crap - because they have previously been out through because they are good iyswim?

GreenEyesandNiceHam · 06/11/2011 21:55

Gah!

Had to watch on delay.

All I have to say is

"I'm very very disappointed in you, people of Great Britain. Very disappointed"

stressheaderic · 06/11/2011 22:15

Tell me about Kitty, those in the know.
How old is she in RL?
What reality shows has she been on?

She is plain of face and limp of hair, but grudgingly, I do think she can sing.

Poor old Johnny, how gracious was he.

veryconfusedatthemoment · 06/11/2011 22:30

I thought Johnny sang beautifully. I had hairs prickle..

really disappointed.

PamBeesly · 06/11/2011 22:34

Stress Kitty has been on Dinner Date as far as I know. She can sing but to my eyes she seems quite unstable. Its written that she is 26.... Hmm

stressheaderic · 06/11/2011 22:39

26 my bumhole.

Oh God really, Dinner Date?

SaggyHairyArse · 06/11/2011 23:08

kitty has got to be touching 40 hasn't she? If she's not then she's not ageing well/has had a hard life. I think she looks better now she has got rid of the Spok eyebrows.

LeBOF · 06/11/2011 23:19

She's been on To Buy Or Not To Buy too, I think.

MissHonkover · 07/11/2011 08:10

Sorry, can you have another go at that booth story? Still don't get it.

ApplesinmyPocket · 07/11/2011 09:37

"Kitty's" age ... I knew her (under her other name of course) when she was a child, she was a few years older than my DD (now 22) but 26 must be about right.

She had lovely long red hair in those days and was obviously a talented girl, she stood out at drama, though I don't remember hearing her sing.

LeBOF · 07/11/2011 10:27

I googled about the booths and found this- it sounds exhausting.

Raahh · 07/11/2011 13:11

wow, BoF- just read that, and although I knew the audition process was all a sham (you don't walk in, speak to Dermott, and then straight into the 'real' judges)- but i didn't realise you had to come back on a different day. Or that you have to 'book' your place in that massive queue! So, next year, when i see the manchester auditionees queueing-i will know they won't have just turned up on the day? Hmm

I mean ,i've read 'Chart Throb' (has anyone mentioned Chart Throb this year- usually someone has by now! 'it's all fake you know, I've read Chart Throb'etc etc)-but that article really does make the whole process sound horrific.

I will still watch, thoughBlush

Still feel a bit gutted for Johnny- but I can't help wondering if the fact he was allegedly being investigated for benefit fraud, may have had a hand in his sudden fall from grace. He seemed really popular with the public before this week.Hmm I think he will have a career on th eback of this, he seemed genuinely lovely.

And I didn't think the Risk were that bad- certainly not the worst? And Klitty lives to fight another weekAngry- not to mention Skanky. Hopefully he will do something spectacularly dumb, and get chucked outGrin

Oh well, another week over- it's all going very fast!!

BoF and Raahh, My friend and I went to an audition in May last year and it was just like that. It's mental!! We live in Kent and had to get up at 4 am, got to the ExCeL place at 6 and were queing for 8 hours before she was seen. It was crazy, there were thousands and thousands of people there. Once we got inside the huge arena, they took rows at a time to go and que for the booths. They are so close together that my friend couldn't hear herself for all the noise! I tell you this for nothing, I would NEVER do that again!! After you get through that stage you have to be interviewed for the TV, then another audition, then another and then finally you get in front of the judges. Never again!!

You know when they air the auditions and you see all those people queing who scream and do the X thing? THat's at the initial audition!! Dermot turns up to say a few lines ('Welcome to the XFactor in London') and then buggers off!!!

Raahh · 07/11/2011 13:26

Thanks , Yorkshire- that's appalling! They must must really engineer it well to get the acts they 'want' on tv. Don't blame you for not doing it again!
