JKSLtd I share your pain. I am waiting to see episode 4. My lightweight of a DH went to bed early cos he was ill. I am hoping to watch it tonight.

It's bound to be Shane's baby. How bloody inconvenient would it be to be pregnant and have a baby in the middle of a zombie apocalypse? Not a good situation to find yourself in! For me, last week's episode summed up the difference between Rick and Shane. Rick is such a good man, there's no way he would have sacrificed Otis like that to save his own skin. I understand the logic of what Shane did but I think it was such a terrible thing to do, Shane will prob go off the rails now dealing with the consequences of his actions. You guys can all have Daryl and I will stick with Rick. I just love his uniform! Plus Andrew Lincoln looks a lot like my husband so I will always have a soft spot for him!

uniCorny · 12/11/2011 11:05

There is no way that Shane will leave them to it if he knows she's preggers.

somewherewest · 12/11/2011 13:16

I found the episode a bit slow and spent a lot of it wondering how any of the characters have managed to survive this long. Firstly, the zombie in the well thing. Judging by the way it was oozing blood that water was pretty far gone anyway. Secondly, Lori...first she gets pregnant in the middle of a zombie apocalypse (hello contraception???), then she wanders out into the dark to do the test. Thirdly, Maggie and Glen tying up their zombie bait / only means of escape horses and wandering into the store to do some shopping with no decent arms and no one on look out, THEN having sex??? Then there's the whole completely undefended Farm That The Apocalypse Forgot thing, and the way in which Meals on Wheels seem to have bought into the idea that it is somehow 100% safe from zombies (despite zombie-in-the-well, which shows that they can make it onto the property).

wintera · 12/11/2011 13:32

I wonder if Lori will ask the doctor to help her have an abortion? And yeah I know he is really a vet but he is the best she's got under the circumstances!

susiedaisy · 12/11/2011 15:24

somewherewest wintera good points, i did think that about the trip to the pharmacy, a bit laxcidaisical really, and then havin sex in the shop frontHmm and the convienance of just one preg test left, although i did smile at Glenn grabbing the first thing that came into his hand and it turned out to be condomsGrin

uniCorny · 12/11/2011 16:03

I now know what's in the barn.

susiedaisy · 12/11/2011 16:05

unicorny stop teasing! Spill!

uniCorny · 12/11/2011 16:06
Grin ds had the comic book upstairs as his friend lent it to him. It is now confiscated. I had no idea about the sex scenes Shock although they aren't as blatant as on the tellybox.
uniCorny · 12/11/2011 16:06

the shane/Lori sex scene is quite tame in the comic

somewherewest · 12/11/2011 16:59

A series of photos from later episodes released as a teaser shows Glen in the barn holding a flashlight and looking a bit shocked.

wintera · 12/11/2011 17:07

They've not got zombie loved ones in there have they? Like in Shaun of the dead, when Shaun has Ed tied up in his shed to play video games with, ha ha lol

somewherewest · 12/11/2011 18:29

Spoiler from comic books....

In the comics the barn is full of zombies, some of whom are Herschl's undead relatives. I haven't read the comics myself but apparently he keeps them there in hope of a cure being invented.

wintera · 12/11/2011 19:14

Bloody hell I was joking as well! Wow!

susiedaisy · 12/11/2011 19:21

Oooh excellent !!!

anonacfr · 12/11/2011 20:53

There was a theory going round Twop that zombie in the well wasn't just a random walker but one of the barn zombies which would explain why Maggie looked so gutted when T Dog squashed in head.
There was also a theory that he was put in the barn on purpose to infect the group to test possible cures.

susiedaisy · 12/11/2011 20:54

Best quote from this episode is daryl saying to rick 'have you got a point or are we just chatting?' outside the farmhouse Grin

susiedaisy · 12/11/2011 20:56

Hello anon Smile

susiedaisy · 12/11/2011 20:57

Maggie did look rather put out didn't she.

anonacfr · 12/11/2011 22:23

Hello!
Rick certainly does like chatting, doesn't he?

countessbabycham · 12/11/2011 22:29

Oh I don't know what to think now!!I thought the cupboard bed in the barn was where Sophia would be holed up - and that she was just out hanging in the hood, looking for food or something, when Daryl showed up.Maybe that s a bit simplistic though! That little bed wouldn't be anything to do with zombies though as they don't make beds. Yes,perhaps there is a 'Merle holding Sophia hostage thing' going on so he can use her somehow to get some revenge.

Reckon it is Shane's baby.

Agree sex in the middle of a zombie apocalypse would be of extremely low priority especially in the middle of a town with no one watching your back. But,then,I do seem to remember hearing something once about people turning to sex as a comfort in times of great trouble.I reckon Maggie was up to a bit of repopulating.

If zombie rellies (except 'uncle' in the well) are holed up somewhere, perhaps they can break out and attack the farmhouse, and Merle and Sophia will turn up to help as Merle will want to save his brother although he has a bone to pick with the rest of them.....

countessbabycham · 12/11/2011 22:31

(I just hope someone gets eaten soon, just to keep the interest up!!!)

anonacfr · 12/11/2011 22:59

Sophia could have hiding in that house and been found by Merle. I just hope she's still alive otherwise Daryl will be really gutted!

I'm still wishing septicaemia on Damian Carl though.

countessbabycham · 12/11/2011 23:01

Liking that idea anon

I nominate Carl to get eaten.

anonacfr · 12/11/2011 23:52

Closely followed by his mother. Isn't it hilarious that Egg has more chemistry with Shane than with his own wife?
