Mary because I'm a bit of a masochist. She's her own worst enemy most of the time, full of angst AND insight in equal measure. And she's got a fantastic side saddle seat.

Sorry, but another Violet. I'd love to know her "back story". I like to think that she was a stunner in her youth, married the previous Lord 6 whom she was quite fond of, but is relishing her widowhood as she can be as rude and eccentric as she likes.

well...I'd like to be Mary or Edith too. Both a bit spunky and v privileged. I'd like to be Mary and destroy sir R, or Edith and prove the burned guy is Really the heir.

Am I the only one who sees Sybil as quite a drip? She could marry anyone and she's wasting time faffing with pickle.

The Sybil/Branson thing doesn´t grab me as a great love story tbh.

What was it made him "dare" to even think about "chatting her up" iyswim.

I know she supposedly doesn´t care about her place in society, the irony of that being that if she wasn´t who she was she wouldn´t be nursing in Mummy & Daddy´s convalescent home iyswim-and expected to attend dinner parties when guests are there!

So although she might not want to be a member of the aristocracy, I can´t see her wanting to be the driver´s wife either.

Diddl have you watched the trailer? She just says to Edith: I think I've found a way to escape. Which isn't what you say if you lurrrve someone really is it? He's a means to an end.
