I agree goingbacktowork yes the plot had a few holes, but Idris made up for that.

My feeling is that Luther will be back with a new series, that will very much feature Alice! I reckon he will leave the force, retire somewhere, but be drawn back into the underworld as a vigilante or Private Detective. This new girl - the prostitute might also feature too, and Alice will be jealous and bump her off, or something... like that
