I got really annoyed with the husband, thought he was pathetic- leaving his wife and kids after 2months.

yeah, everyone fks up. but not everyone screws over their entire family by it. and having an affair isn't a 'mistake'. it's a willful decision by someone.

and yes, I had a cheating partner I loved very much. I loved trust and respect more. So out he went.

I myself got to a stage in my last marriage where I considered an affair. REally and truly.

Got there, and thought, 'No is ALWAYS an option.'

Walked out, when home and told my husband the hardest thing I've ever had to say, 'I want to sleep with someone else.'

We ended up divorcing on good terms about a year later.

I felt really cross and aggressive to my dh when I was watching it. Felt this about all men actually. totally understood when she asked him how he could walk away from his children for a 2 month affair. when he said "I've never felt love like this before" I was screaming at the TV "everyone feels like that in the first 12 months you egocentric selfish loser". Really made me cross.

I guiltily enjoyed this, normally avoid these ITV things (usually because they involve Robson Green). Tamsin looks rough though, too many sunbeds me thinks.

Found myself wondering last night if she smokes - seems to have lots of lines around her mouth

How old is Tamzin? I would say close to 40.

I smoked heavily myself until 2002 and at 34 I do have lines on either side of my mouth b/c of it.

I felt a bit let down by this prog as I thought it woold be a bit more in depth ie. you felt for all the characters involved. Iended up thinking how pathetic the man and Tamsin was and how well the wife took it. Don't know if I'll bother with it tonight.

Agree with however said TO was perfectly cast - she seems to play the 'other woman' well

Was gripped, fantastic programme. My ex-H had an affair & I was equally stunned that he could up sticks and just walk away from all of us.
I kept wanting to smack the silly husband on the head and say look at all that you are throwing away.
My ex-H bitterly regrets having thrown it all away, particularly now his bit of totty has given him the heave-ho, as she couldn't cope with all his baggage!!!!!!!!!!
Can't wait to watch tonight's episode.

Tamsin doe sindeed look like she smokes 20 a day. She loves THe Maldives though so maybe it's too much sun?! She was on our flight to maldives when we went. Useless bit of info I know.

DP and I watched this together, the bit that really got to him was when the daughter did her concert and he was "at it" with his bit on the side. He just couldn't believe he could do that, not just to his partner but also to his little girl!!! He was shouting at the telly more than I was. I was a bit surprised how rational she ws though, DP said to me "you would have been straight in the knife drawer wouldn't you?". He knows not to mess with me though, have made it clear from the very start

Like everyone says, its not just the wife he is letting down but his poor innocent children, they were such a close loving family too. I always thought that men who had affairs were unhappy or missing something but they seemed so happy.

Just brings it home how important families are, will watch it tonight though definitely!!!!
