I admit...I'm a bit of a screamer...well, one hell of a screamer. Blush I was asked to keep it down (and yes told screaming wouldn't help) because I was upsetting another laboring woman. Well, excuse me, and how about closing the doors.

Actually, I didn't ask for another midwife, but wish I had!

Imps7 · 07/02/2011 21:10

is anyone a bit bored by this episode at the moment??

AnathemaDevice · 07/02/2011 21:10

Oldme- no, I've just sent DH out to make tea. If he's out of the room I don't have to listen to him saying 'childbirth's a doddle' every few minutes.

sheeplikessleep · 07/02/2011 21:11

i would have (wrongly) assumed elcs would have been booked for a mum to be with a heart condition?

NancyDrewHasaClue · 07/02/2011 21:11

Not a popular view I am sure but the screaming lady was bit...er..how can I say...over dramatic.

I felt some sympathy until the point where they announced they were moving her to the delivery suite just to get her out the way - I thought she must be in transition the way she was carrying on Shock

And the poor 18 year old gorl who just kept saying "if she, a grown woman, can't cope how will I get through this".

sheeplikessleep · 07/02/2011 21:11

imps - yes

BellaMagnificat · 07/02/2011 21:12

Very slow this wek so far...

QuoththeRaven · 07/02/2011 21:12

nah got to stay up til 11 to take the little pill :) obem and glee afterwards will keep me going. weird to think this time tomorrow i'll have my little baby :) can you make me a tea oldme? DH is pretending to snooze on the sofa and im too comfy to move

ghosteditor · 07/02/2011 21:13

nancydrew, the way they edited it really made it look like she was screaming at the thought of being in pain, not the actual pain if you see what I mean. She got through it though!

sheeplikessleep · 07/02/2011 21:13

raven, that's so exciting! what time you booked in for (do you get a time?)

noeyedear · 07/02/2011 21:14

I would have expected elcs for heart mum too- any reason why not?

What was Saras relationship with her bloke? Id it their first together? I got a bit confuddled when she was talking!

juneybean · 07/02/2011 21:14

Oh dear.... Nancy....

Dunoon · 07/02/2011 21:14

Haha Nancy is great.

QuoththeRaven · 07/02/2011 21:14

have to be there for 8 to get prepped. they are hoping im in theatre for 9, depends on emcs of course.

im thinking heart lady would be have had csec too..

Meglet · 07/02/2011 21:14

sheep I was thinking the same.

ImFab · 07/02/2011 21:15

What did Nancy say?

Meglet · 07/02/2011 21:15

"Why did I come into the office" (or something along those lines)

sheeplikessleep · 07/02/2011 21:16

maybe it is c-sec?

expatinscotland · 07/02/2011 21:16

I'd have wanted ELCS with that condition.

But I'm the type who'd have loved an ELCS, anyway.

darleneconnor · 07/02/2011 21:16

It's quite worrying when a labouring Mum doesn't know what 'you've ruptured your membranes' means. Did she not go to antenatal classes or read any books?

Dunoon · 07/02/2011 21:16

Nancy came into the office, stood there and then asked the midwife is she knew why she might have come there.
I know the feeling

sheeplikessleep · 07/02/2011 21:16

oh, they're inducing (thought they were talking about c-sec), ignore my last post

MrsVidic · 07/02/2011 21:17

ok i cried at the credits, there's no hope for this pregnant watcher!

Dunoon · 07/02/2011 21:17

Oooooh action

TheOriginalNutcracker · 07/02/2011 21:17

I'm really surprised that she's not having a section too.
A girl I used to babysit for had a heart condition, and she had to have a section, as they said labour would put her heart under too much strain.
