ashley was the young lad with the asbo, brilliant. saw a real spark in him.

James is the former public schoolboy. he has the self-confidence to do well in hotel management.

danielle was the girl with the asymetric hair. a great natural nose and palate. you cant train that!

Brooke was the former dinner lady with long hair. she was my favourite. the way she handled herself under pressure was just brilliant. she has a natural charisma and i almost feel that she was too good for a scholarship. Im glad that Fred took her on.

I thought it was a bit shit that Nikita wasn't offered anything, she did great, one of the fuckers could have offered her a job.

Roux was all "you can make it with a child etc" yet she didn't get so much as a leg up. I know it said she had a job being a waitress at the end, but I'll bet my arse it isn't at a fecking Hilton.

She had just as much of a "journey" as Ashley, plus being a single mother could have done with an opportunity much more.

ah, but her attitude was pretty bad. imo she would make a great waitress, but a not so great manager. its also very very hard to juggle catering with a child. you need real application and ambition, she seemed very surly right the way through. its a shame, because i was hoping that she would get something, but give it a few years.

and I would have gone fucking nuts over her shoes the second time!

also, was thinking about this - you wouldnt expect alan sugar to give the apprentice job to someone who had a "journey" or needed it more. she just wasnt the best candidate.

Lisselou - I agree, I know she has issues (lack of esteem etc), but she never really gave it her all the way Ashley did. I think the episode at the Hotel summed it up for me when Ashley essentially told her to pull her finger out and she just didn't listen...

exactly, she just didnt seem to pull her weight.
