I can't see another thread for tonight's episode, so here we go.

Pull up a chair!

No they consider it unclean. That is why it cost over 3k to clear up after the travellers who broke into dh's work car park.

Funny about not marrying out,a friend lives near a traveller site and one of them asked her if her dd could marry her son.The dd in question is 6.

muggglewump · 25/01/2011 21:15

What in rthe name of fuck are rhose children wearing?Shock

MigratingCoconuts · 25/01/2011 21:15

aaannnnddd...breathe!

PictureThis · 25/01/2011 21:16

Those little girls are dressed like teenagers.

RunningTap · 25/01/2011 21:16

I can't reconcile the no sex before marriage values they have, girls need chaperones etc with the clothes the girls wear, how can they let their girls dress like that?

Choufleur · 25/01/2011 21:17

OMFG!!! I'm actually lost for words

missy10 · 25/01/2011 21:17

is pulling on her judgy pants Hmm

pettyprudence · 25/01/2011 21:18

omg those children have tartier shoes than me (and i like to think i am the queen or tarty shoes Grin). Nice to see a return of the power ranger gloves

DanceInTheDark · 25/01/2011 21:18

I can't get past the orange faces and short/massively wide dresses for an 8 year old Shock

Is it always like this?

PictureThis · 25/01/2011 21:18

missy Grin I've pulled my judgy pants on too...so high they're practically up to my chin.

BellaMagnificat · 25/01/2011 21:19

Just like American child beauty contestants. Exactly.

Katiekitty · 25/01/2011 21:19

Genuine arf at 'power ranger glove' thank you!!!!

tulpe · 25/01/2011 21:19

trillian that's exactly what I thought too. Uncomfortably "adult" little girls :(

You can see the girls love all the dressing up. I only have boys but can't imagine letting any daughter I may have in the future dress so provocatively. Seem to remember on last weeks thread that the assumption was that there is a huge exaggeration of masculine and feminine roles in traveller culture which leads to this extreme way of dressing.

LauraSmurf · 25/01/2011 21:19

Where do you even get a 2 piece white lyrca communion dress!!!

countless · 25/01/2011 21:19

i luuurvvvve those girls! ahhh tears rolling here.
reminds me a lot of arabic kitchen parties have equally demure dress code but the dancing is far more explicit.

TrillianAstra · 25/01/2011 21:19

Some of those dresses were definitely living out grandma's fantasies, not the little girl's.

CaveMum · 25/01/2011 21:19

I think the fact that it was an all traveller service might have made some of the parents a little more competitive....?

rachelkarengreene · 25/01/2011 21:19

Gosh, just caught up with you ladies during the ads...
I just want to add my "What are those children wearing?" Shock

Choufleur · 25/01/2011 21:20

I'm confused at what dressing like a loo roll cover/hooker is to do with traveller heritage?

ILoveItWhenYouCallMeBoo · 25/01/2011 21:20

round here, pat's hair is known as a rat's tail.

so sad seeing those babies dancing like that.

missy10 · 25/01/2011 21:20

omg thoses bridesmaid dresses ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

expatinscotland · 25/01/2011 21:20

It's like a dress up party every day!

BitOfFun · 25/01/2011 21:20

tulpe · 25/01/2011 21:21
