I agree he'd be better than Bill but isn't he Pam's Maker so is bonded to her anyway? (or however it works). Eric has an evil and ruthless side to him.

I think he has a very ruthless side to him but I wouldn't call him evil.

I must be the only one who likes Bill .

Even after this series? When it emerged that he lied to Sookie the whole time he knew her and that he staged her near death so that he could save her and she could fall for him?
I used to like him in the first series. he started to get on my nerves last series (mainly because Eric took over ). But he's now revealed himself to be a manipulative arsehole.

And his flashbacks of gore-filled sex with twisted-neck maker don't exactly go weell with his poor-me-I-never-wanted -to-be-a-vampire act.

That was before he fell in love with her though. I guess it would be tricky to confess once he realised he liked her.

I also don't think Eric is all that.

It would have been easier to explain that he had been sent to get her but instead fell for her (and her Faerie blood) and decided to protect her than to lie to her repeatedly.
He must have known the truth was bound to come out eventually. The queen isn't exactly a patient person!

anonacfr ok, I take back evil. He's sexy for sure, but I think he has his own agenda and will do whatever it takes, ruthless means or otherwise.

I really hated Bill when he put his hand out to shake Erics and then threw him into the cement when Eric took his hand in good faith. I think that form of trickery is really low. Before that, I just thought he was dull.

About the bonding- look at how Bill treats Jessica. Aside from the odd moment of 'parental' guidance he's completely neglected her. He passed her on to Pam and Eric for a while and generally has no patience with teaching her about being a vampire- totally why she ended up killing the guy in the truck.
Sookie has way more empathy with Jessica than Bill.

This season Bill has proven to be rather sociopathic IMO. Obsessed with Sookie, talking about killing everyone around her (I was amazed that she just sat and didn't react when he told her he'd killed Eric and Pam and was going to kill the queen because 'he was so in love with her') etc.
He's quite a scary character these days!

Oh no! I totally missed this! Is it coming up on channel 4 any time? Where can I watch it online if not? I love it soooo much, I can't believe it, all that Eric I've missed.... sniff....
