I hope Stella wins.

Anyone a fan of Battlestar Galactica? We are laughing at "the final five" here.

BooBooGlass · 19/12/2010 22:53

Continuing the Muppets theme, Platell looks like that girl from Dr Teeth's band

PotPourri · 19/12/2010 22:54

I dobn't see Joy in the audience

TrillianAstra · 19/12/2010 22:56

Embarrassing for everyone, bringing up Liz vs Stuart.

PotPourri · 19/12/2010 22:56

LOL. Sir Alan is funny!

ChippingIn · 19/12/2010 22:56

I want to know what has really gone on with Stuart.

ChippingIn · 19/12/2010 22:57

Not embarassing for Liz :)

PotPourri · 19/12/2010 22:58

Yeah, there is something so much more going on with Stew

claig · 19/12/2010 22:58

agree ChippingIn, something must have happened with Stuart. Why is Sugar so rude to him? and they didn't even let Stuart have a right of reply

ChippingIn · 19/12/2010 22:59

What he did was daft - but it wasn't that big a deal, not for it to cause this much ill feeling.

PotPourri · 19/12/2010 23:01

Someone said the other night that his dad had the company until the day before Stuart took it over, aged 14. Could be that, as effectively makes the self made thing a lie - Lord Sugar saw himself in him maybe until that point

BitOfFun · 19/12/2010 23:01

The last winner lied on his CV, didn't he?

So Stuart must have told a serious whopper that they can't talk about for legal reasons or something. I suspect it was connected to the funding or setting up of his business and the help he's been given by his father.

claig · 19/12/2010 23:02

Lee McQueen was a previous winner who they found lied on his CV

BitOfFun · 19/12/2010 23:03

That was me, PotPourri.

A company of the same name was set up when Stuart was 14, and dissolved the day before he registered his company aged 18.

BaroqinAroundTheChristmasTree · 19/12/2010 23:04

I'm not sure if the fact that his business was started the day after another business of the same name was dissolved. His sister is one of the directors.

And the speed boat that his father owns (and is a business too) is none other than the speed boat the Bluewave "sponsors"......oh and the whole family are directors on his fathers business (the speed boat one).

That's basic stuff I found out online last week.........who knows what else the BBC researchers uncovered.

norfolkBRONZEturkey · 19/12/2010 23:05

amanda Platell came across as hating women

ChippingIn · 19/12/2010 23:07

Well - what are we going to do on Wednesday nights now :(

BitOfFun · 19/12/2010 23:09

I know!

Well, it's been fun, everyone Xmas Sad

BitOfFun · 19/12/2010 23:10

On the plus side The Father Ted Lingerie Section scene is showing on Channel 4 Grin

claig · 19/12/2010 23:10

to be fair, a lot of incorporated businesses involve relatives as directors. You need two directors, yourself and one other, and that is often your partner or a relative

BaroqinAroundTheChristmasTree · 19/12/2010 23:11

that's my TV off in the evenings after 8,30pm now then I guess......

ChippingIn · 19/12/2010 23:12

Baroquin - when you turn the TV off do you listen to music just enjoy the silence?

KalokiMallow · 19/12/2010 23:14

Stuart also admitted to spreading lies about competitors going bust.

claig · 19/12/2010 23:15

the thing is, he admitted those lies on his CV didn't he? and they had his CV from the beginning
