Anyone else wish Steph had bitten the dust in the accident? She's so bloody annoying, it's a mystery why so many characters are distraught by her every mood swing.

Yes it is v odd that nobody has mentioned Bridget - wasn't she donna's best friend? or Kate's Mother. Libby definately did an empathetic look though.
Steph really is supremely annoying, don't really understand the sympathy!

There is a rule. Nobody will ever remember that they have been throught he same thing. This rule enables the writers to merrily believe that their viewers have no memories either and won't spot that they are recycling storylines. Just think of amnesia, when Zeke couldn't remember anything did Harold help? Did Susan? Nope, it was like her was the first and only person to ever experience it.

I'm dipping in and out of it at the moment, all rather amusing.

It seems that once the characters leave the street they are never mentioned again, even when they're relatives still live on the street, which can appear a bit odd sometimes. I dont remember Elle ever being mentioned when Paul was in a coma. Or Ringo's brother mentioned when he died?

I vaguely remeber a story line where Conor accidently discovered something about someone(Paul I think, pre brain tumour days) and that, to keep him quiet, he 'disappeared'. I thought he'd then been buried under a rose bush in the garden....I have no idea why!!!

you are right though, no one turns up for weddings or funerals...or just for christmas!

I found some interesting Behind the scenes videos on youtube so if you're a big Neighbours fan like me they are worth watching :)
I liked the one where the mum of the twins who play India talks about how they are on set and their relationships with the characters, particularly old Declan.

You are right about Elle, TheLastMelon - I don't know why I hadn't realised that. Surely she would have been informed, and kept up to date on her dad's condition, even if she couldn't be flown back from whatever far flung part of the world she is reporting from.

And if she couldn't come back, someone would have said why she couldn't.

I seem to remember none of Libby's siblings were there when she married Dan either. And how often does Lyn mention her children (apart from Steffie)?

they did mention ringo's brother, I think that is why the funeral is some where elas eas thay said rosie and frazier were going to fly there.

You are correct about Connor being buried under a rose bush - except that was a very strange storyline INDEED. It was suggested that Paul's psycho son drove off with him, intent on murdering him, and then he hinted he had buried him under a rosebush. Then people were questioning why Connor, who had also been due to go travelling, hadn't been in touch with anyone. Toadie was really concerned and there was no reason for the audience to believe anything other than Connor HAD been murdered. And then for some reason, Toadie was sent Connor's wallet or something which indicated he had gone travelling after all and had lost his wallet along the way. It was very strange, it was like the writers couldn't work out which version they preferred, but Connor has never been mentioned since. All very odd and it pissed me right off at the time, hence me remembering it now.

I believe Ringo's brother Fraser and his wife Rosie are returning. There is a rumour to that effect. No idea if it will be the same actors.

Thanks bathbuns that is what I remember (forgotten though, that it was physco mini-paul!!). I kind of wished they had followed up on the rose bush storyline (maybe they realised it was all a bit to EE and backed off??)

I must say, it is refreshing to talk Neighbours on here...I tend to play my Neighbours mania down in the real world. People just don't get how fab it really is!!!!
