Anyone watching? It's very funny.

It was part 1 of 3, so you can catch it on iplayer in time for the next episode.

I thought the same about the rotavator, he went headfirst into the rosebush initially. Then later it was a neat little square with no damage whatsoever to the roses or the lawn in front of them ! Odd

They should fire whoever is in charge of the editing

ppeatfruit · 12/11/2010 16:32

Thanks nomdeplume but i'm in France ATM so no iplayer. IMO it's done on a v. low budget! Her wig !!

That's a PITA, ppeatfruit re iplayer.

Pretty sure the costumes are comedically bad on purpose so as to reflect the typically wobbly naff sets of the period, and of course, just how far from "Barbara" Sue actually is.

Yes it is maybe they'll repeat it later like the Supersizers, the Beeb seems to sell on their progs. quickly these days!

It's on again tonight. Looking forward to it, a bit of chill time.

I find it very hard to believe that they thought you could just plant things in an allotment and then do nothing for the next couple of months Hmm

I know they are hamming it up but surely they have to stay within the realms of reality?

Bob Flowerdew is however a god, so his appearance made it all worthwhile Grin

ppeatfruit · 16/11/2010 13:19

Nice to see Giles bonding with the livestock even though their horticultural skills seem sadly lacking. Yeah Bob Flowerdew!!! he's getting a bit fat though isn't he?

Can I add to the Giles Coren crush* list. Also, see Miranda immediately before with the quite-delicious-in-a-similar-sort of way Tom Ellis.

*I was once overcome with lust reading the first page of his book and had to put it down very quickly in the bookshop in case something embarassing happened.
