I was a little bit
at the speed with which their garden grew - one minute there are a couple of beds dug over, the next, there's well grown plants there. And the chicken run and goat pen seemed to appear out of nowhere - well, the chicken run went from a wire enclosure to magically having a gate whilst they ran to the front door to let in the chicken man.
And the front garden perplexed me. Giles rotavated it, but the bed didn't seem to tally with where he had rotavated, and the progress of the plants in the front garden seemed to go backwards at least once - I think it was when the goats arrived, and as they came up the drive, it looked as if the garden was barely started, and yet earlier on we'd seen shots of it looking quite well on.
I am also hoping they will explain next week why on earth they decided to take the pigs through the house to the back garden, when the goats were able to walk round the side of the house.
But I am going to stop quibbling now, because I am actually really enjoying it - I remember loving the Good Life as a child - we all used to watch it at home, and my parents loved it too - and we did grow a lot of our own veg, and had chickens, so it is bringing back memories of childhood.
Is it wrong of me to want a patchwork skirt like Sue's?
And Rosemary Shrager used to present a programme called Rosemary Shrager Castle Cook, where people stayed at the Castle where she worked, and she taught them how to cook various dishes - a cooking school type thing.
