X-Factor - Week 2!! Musical heroes.....

Raahh · 16/10/2010 18:21

After last weeks not very inspiring set list, this week the acts are meant to be singing

John Adeleye - A Song For You (Donny Hathaway)

Storm Lee- Born To Run (Bruce Springsteen)

Mary Byrne: Dusty Springfield?s ?You Don?t Have To Say You Love Me?

One Direction: Kelly Clarkson?s ?My Life Would Suck Without You?

Treyc Cohen: Purple Rain

Katie Waissel - I?d Rather Go Blind (Etta James)

Wagner- Help Yourself (Tom Jones)

Cher Lloyd ? Hard Knock Life (Jay Z)

Paije Richardson ? If I Ain?t Got You (Alicia Keys)

Belle Amie ? ?You Really Got Me?

This is an unconfirmed list. Theme wise, it is as tenuous as last week- is Kelly Clarkson really a musical hero to 5 teenage lads?

Looking forward to WagnerGrin

She was better than last week but I still think that she is less good than she thinks she is.

Divatheshopaholic · 16/10/2010 21:19

not sure, she is take acting seriously imo.

celticlassie · 16/10/2010 21:19

I prefer her to Cher

Northumberlandlass · 16/10/2010 21:19

I'd Rather Go Blind - Etta James. Look it up on you tube and see how it should by sung.

PoorlyConstructed · 16/10/2010 21:19

It's impressive to be universally reviled.

giraffesCantDookForApples · 16/10/2010 21:20

she looks like a man

MuGGGhoulWump · 16/10/2010 21:20

Right, let's see Matt.
I've promised DD some more GoGos after this has finished and the shop shuts at 10.

Divatheshopaholic · 16/10/2010 21:20

Simon[shocker]er

MortBlacksand · 16/10/2010 21:20

Still can't get over aiden hating his own performance....

BarbaraSeville · 16/10/2010 21:21

If we had a Rate This Post, I would be giving the thumbs up to Tippy's "SJP does karaoke" post.

ZOMBIEEEESywriter · 16/10/2010 21:21

Why's KAtie got Jedward's hair?

sailorsgal · 16/10/2010 21:21

I quite like her.

2cats2many · 16/10/2010 21:22

They're all trying their hardest to re-pitch her to the public.

Hope she ends up in the bottom two again.

Tippychoocks · 16/10/2010 21:22

You'll have to wait Muggle - Bellamy and TescoMary next

domeafavour · 16/10/2010 21:22

Sorry, but I thought Katie was pretty good

Divatheshopaholic · 16/10/2010 21:22

I bet SJP will be better, saw her doing karaoke in saudi

Tippychoocks · 16/10/2010 21:22

Bless and keep you Barbara. Would I get a smiley face?

PoorlyConstructed · 16/10/2010 21:23

Katie reminds me of the sort of posh, public schooled, russel group UG who swans into your office and demands you reschedule her tutorials so that she can have two days off to play lacrosse. Or who swans into your lecture 20 minutes late (in pjs) and loudly announces: 'dreadfully sorry. I just couldn't find a taxi anywhere'.

IvantaOuiOui · 16/10/2010 21:24

Is noble woman TescoMary on next?

BarbaraSeville · 16/10/2010 21:24

The is pretty good.

EightiesChick · 16/10/2010 21:25

@Ivana - LOL at up yer bum. Sadly Emily Lloyd is not doing too well these days - google and you'll see. Wish You Were Here's one of my favourite films ever.

Was katie's song choice inspired by her past persona as Lola Fontaine, jazz singer, in the US? If so she should have nailed it. Didn't quite do it IMO.

PoorlyConstructed · 16/10/2010 21:25

Katie had driven me to more wine.

Tippychoocks · 16/10/2010 21:26

The chicken shack is my fave actually.

celticlassie · 16/10/2010 21:26

Poor Mary'll be too mortified to come on after Wagner's 'tribute'.

MortBlacksand · 16/10/2010 21:26

I think some folks don't like her because she is a bit bolshy - and some don't like that in a woman....
