im waiting for the huge bag that cindy carried around with her to appear for bianca Grin

Didn't cry but thought the writing (for a change) was superb. I lost my dad very suddenly and that whole thing of looking at other people and feeling detached from them was very well portrayed. Even Lauren sniggering.. I had to Have Words with my DD and my DN for inappropriate behaviour at the funeral.

hattymattie · 12/10/2010 18:58

It's been boring recently liked it better when Zainab was in full swing with Sahid's marriage and then the will he/won't he come out story line. I do like Patsy though except they're having difficulty hiding that pregnancy. They should have built that into the plot!

Faaamily · 12/10/2010 19:03

I thought it was too much for pre-water shed last night. I was sick watching it (yes, yes, I know it is only a soap opera, but...).

strandedatsea · 12/10/2010 19:09

yes i was strangely distracted by Patsy's shape and the fact that it kept disappearing when they only showed her from the waist down as they're obviously using a body double.

Good acting from her and carol though.

PictureThis · 12/10/2010 19:52

Carol and Jim set me off again! Yes I know it's only a programme Smile

bigchris · 12/10/2010 20:48

I was loving the bonding btw the branning adult siblings , so thought it was pretty crap that max and carol are arguing again over stupid Lauren
and that wasn't the real Alan Sad

potplant · 12/10/2010 20:51

ladybirdladybirdflyawayhome · 12/10/2010 20:55

Fluffypoms · 12/10/2010 21:02

bigchris tis was the same Alan

bigchris · 12/10/2010 21:07

Is it? We hardly saw him! Is he coming back?

lilystyles · 12/10/2010 21:09

I love eastenders and yes I was crying!

PaulaMummyKnowsBest · 13/10/2010 11:00

bianca and carol were brilliant.

Such a sad story line. I actually let my dd (almost 12) watch it and then lectured her about too much alcohol. I never let her watch normally as it is so inappropraite but now she is getting older and mixing with much older children at school, it doesn't hurt for messages like this to be learnt

Fluffypoms · 13/10/2010 12:21

I dont know, i have heard alan was coming back.

bit disapointing if 5sec shot of him was it Hmm

whatkungfuthat · 13/10/2010 14:23

That soap woman on This Morning said that Alan would be back. Carol and Jim, that was so sad but the Lauren bit was crap imo.

FindingMyMojo · 13/10/2010 14:51

LPSMUM Carol gave him wallet for his birthday & put the photo in it "you're still my little boy" sniff!

Fluffypoms · 13/10/2010 15:03

I really dislike the "new" lauren by god what an annoying girl.

FoghornLeghorn · 13/10/2010 15:09

I really did cry - proper tears, not just a rogue tear.

I thought it was brilliantly portrayed, that god awful silence in the first hours after, the trying to keep it from the DC's, the wanting to hold your mum but trying to be strong.

It brought back alot of memories from my BIL's death so that makes me think it must've been well done
