Am watching with interest as DH wants to do this.

LauraNorder · 06/09/2010 21:10

Where does he want to go? My DH has decided we should go to Australia or New Zealand for a year - he decided this about 12 minutes ago Grin

The wife seems to call all of the shots in that family.

omnishambles · 06/09/2010 21:11

I thought this was going to be fun but am already shouting at the screen - the vaccinations and now meeting the dalai lama...and that they want their dcs to learn about poverty - do it in this country then you eejits. Gah.

Putting your dcs in danger is ridiculous imo.

CrispyTheCrisp · 06/09/2010 21:12

LOL, i would be happy with Australia or NZ. He wants to do Russia/Mongolia/Middle East/Africa. Hmm

purpleturtle · 06/09/2010 21:12

There's a deep irony in her wanting to eschew all Western privelege, but still seeking a private audience with the Dalai Lama, isn't there?

omnishambles · 06/09/2010 21:14

yes purple and wanting their dcs to see that they are privileged and how the other half live while still flying business class...

poverty is only interesting abroad after all.

muggglewump · 06/09/2010 21:15

I'm going to watch on plus 1.

I took DD to Indonesia for 10 weeks the just after she turned 1. It was amazing.

muggglewump · 06/09/2010 21:16

Ignore random 'the', in last post.

TooPragmatic · 06/09/2010 21:16

They look like complete idiots.

Meglet · 06/09/2010 21:16

I'm watching now as I want to judge.

omnishambles · 06/09/2010 21:19

shush meglet am enjoying my judging Grin

LauraNorder · 06/09/2010 21:20

Slight concentration lapse there - did they stay in a nice hotel for 3 weeks?!

CisforCookie · 06/09/2010 21:21

These people are ridiculous. I agree, if they want to expose their children to poverty why don't they volunteer in the UK. Pah!

Meglet · 06/09/2010 21:21

It did look a bit flash.

purpleturtle · 06/09/2010 21:23

They'll be forming an excellent opinion of British people based on this lot. Hmm

poshwellies · 06/09/2010 21:44

Totally agree with Purple, she was almost barging the local people out of the way to see the Dalai Lama.Hmm

Urgh at this family, total farking farce.

omnishambles · 06/09/2010 21:46

that looks a bit malarial to me...

purpleturtle · 06/09/2010 21:48

She "feels a bit responsible" Shock

omnishambles · 06/09/2010 21:48

yep as I thought...idiots.

poshwellies · 06/09/2010 21:50

For a buddhist, she is very very full of ego.

purpleturtle · 06/09/2010 21:53

Actually, I know plenty of people with generosity of spirit and generosity of heart. Angry

Mum72 · 06/09/2010 21:54

omnishambles · 06/09/2010 21:58
