Yes, I'm watching it.

Poor girl, the mum I mean.

DuelingFanjo · 13/07/2010 21:26

I am. I love her. I loved her in the last programme even when everyone else haated her.

LauraNorder · 13/07/2010 21:26

Just tuned in.

Monty100 · 13/07/2010 21:27

I've never seen it before.

I'm getting quite emotional.

That debt collector. One of the family indeed.

booyhoo · 13/07/2010 21:30

i watched her last programme aswell and loved her in that.

yes i was a bit when i heard him saying he was part of the family.
i really feel for this young couple. they dont seem to know what they can do about their debts. i hope dean gets rid of the mind block he seems to have.

I quite like her.

LauraNorder · 13/07/2010 21:32

Was her last programme the same as this?

Monty100 · 13/07/2010 21:34

Its such a vicious circle they're in and they don't know how to get off it.

I'm fuming about that debt collector though. They've borrowed £500 and having to pay back £800 at £25 per week!

(I think that's what it was).

booyhoo · 13/07/2010 21:35

her last one she worked for a company that ran courses for people who were unemployed to get them back into work, looking for jobs, building confidence. although that programme wasn't specifically about her it was about benefits culture in general.

booyhoo · 13/07/2010 21:36

i know monty that is extortionate.

Monty100 · 13/07/2010 21:42

Boo - I hope his ass gets crabs. (Or whatever that saying is lol).

DuelingFanjo · 13/07/2010 21:47

hmm, shame it suddenly turned into some kind of make-over show.

I get the pint but not every unemployed person could afford that kind of treatment.

LauraNorder · 13/07/2010 21:48

Take your point about the make over although just making an effort with your appearance is important. This bit is good, what to say what not to say.

booyhoo · 13/07/2010 21:49

crabs?? i have never heard that one.

OP posts:
MrsDrOwenHunt · 13/07/2010 21:49

but a wait

DuelingFanjo · 13/07/2010 21:49

point

booyhoo · 13/07/2010 21:50

i know. what it is saying to people is you too need to have cosmetic dentistry and a new hairdo before you become employable.

OP posts:
Monty100 · 13/07/2010 21:50

Well, I suppose it's saying how easy it is to look that bit better.

The girl is lovely and warm, and as much as he's stand offish, he really wants to provide.

LauraNorder · 13/07/2010 21:51

It might have been a bit more realistic to have given her a makeover with the make up/hair products she already owns?

booyhoo · 13/07/2010 21:52

it isn't really easy to get your teeth or hair done when you have no spare cash. it would have been better if she had shown them how to make the best of what they already had rather than waving her magic wand.

OP posts:
MrsDrOwenHunt · 13/07/2010 21:54

i mean wtf is it about

Monty100 · 13/07/2010 21:55

Yes, that's true Boo.

OMG I'm cringing at interview.

MaureenMLove · 13/07/2010 21:56

I'm watching. Surely, if they are on 100% benefits, dental treatment is free though, right?

booyhoo · 13/07/2010 21:58

ha nice one

OP posts:
expatinscotland · 13/07/2010 21:58

Maureen, there's no way the NHS will cover that type of cosmetic dentistry.

I like her better this time.
