EEK, have got a problem- need your advice ladies please...

13 year old dd went out to see Avatar tonight, with "Becky".

Except dss(14) has seen her at the train station and grassed her up. It was Harry, who she claimed dumped her a couple of weeks ago.

I wouldn't have minded her going on a date.

I bloody do mind her lying to me though . I mean, what is the point?!! I am a nice chilled mum.

She is going skiing with the school on Friday, so I can't ground her immediately. But I'm fucking annoyed and disappointed. I used to lie to my mum about boys, but she was well strict. What do I do?

glad she is back safe now though

will you be needing a stiff one after that?

mumonthenet · 10/02/2010 23:11

poor bof,

so are you going to give her the lecture tomorrow?

There's really not much you can do with the teens except be there, a bit of policing, a bit of hugs and kisses, a bit of I WASN'T BORN YESTERDAY Y'KNOW.... etc, etc, etc,

Have a good night.

AnyFucker · 10/02/2010 23:12

I would think BOF has gone right off sex after tonight...

BelleDameSansMerci · 10/02/2010 23:13

Does that ever happen?

Slartybartfast · 10/02/2010 23:13

"You must think my head buttons up the bloody back"

good one.

glad it's all sorted/ish.

she can't expect to lie to her mother and get away with it.
mother's always find out

BitOfFun · 10/02/2010 23:14

No stiff ones in the house, sadly, unless I open some red

Far too keyed up, even for a bit of TWC...

Trying to relax now.

OMG! Is he going on the skiing trip???

BitOfFun · 10/02/2010 23:16

Perhaps I could offer to go in her place?

I could do with a week off...

I don't think so. I will find out though- and tell the teachers she is to be Kept An Eye On. In front of her

AnyFucker · 10/02/2010 23:18

probably best now to not start reminiscing about all the stuff we got up to on school trips.....

BelleDameSansMerci · 10/02/2010 23:18

I'm getting all misty eyed and remembering "puppy love" (the feeling, not the song - I preferred David Cassidy to Donny). Sorry, not helpful...

BelleDameSansMerci · 10/02/2010 23:19

Ooooh, yes, pony trekking in Abergavenny. Sigh...

VinegarTits · 10/02/2010 23:20

Me and DP are laughing at Anyfucker's suggestion up the thread that dss would have texted her to warn her

Not bloody likely...he was delighted that the heat was off him for once, and went to bed like a good boy, smirking a lot

french exchange lads... ooo la la.

my first kiss. i cried because he put so much spittle into my mouth and then stirred it round with his tongue a la a washing machine. [shudders]

BitOfFun · 10/02/2010 23:32

Oh she has properly cocked up the amount of freedom she gets now, that's for sure, herbie. I will be watching her like a hawk, and any cinema trips on a school night are curtailed for the forseeable.

well done bof

there has to be a consequence, which is not just a bollocking from mother.

BitOfFun · 10/02/2010 23:43

Yeeeeess, I am thinking...Luckily I have a whole week to concoct something now, as her supervision is the teachers' problem until next weekend

Suggestions gratefully received...

My mum used to make me do all the housework when I'd been caught out. To be honest, though, it was the shame of being caught misbehaving that used to get to me. It would like being "on report" at school. Had to be home from school by x time (although she wasn't there, I still complied); get housework done; get homework done; then was allowed tv etc. Guess it would be pc/mobile phone now?

My mum was/is lovely and I didn't need to lie to her (except for when I used to skip school, of course ). I used to hate it when she didn't trust me and it changed the ease of our relationship. Hard to work that into a "lesson" though.
