If your 15 year old DD decides she can't imagine being with anyone other than her boyfriend how do you react?I

15 year old DR has decided first and current bf is it. In her opinion it's a lifetime commitment.

Has anyone been in such a circumstance?

My 16yo son has a girlfriend of a few weeks that he says he's going to marry! DH and I have met her dad (he dropped her off at our house and we invited him in for a drink) but not yet her mum.

Keep parents casual, say hello at drop off etc…

Totally normal, just make sure you stay fairly neutral but keep her talking to you and asking for advice. Don’t let the boyfriend’s influence affect which A levels she chooses, or which college or university she applies to, where in the country she goes to live next… I have a relative whose parents were very affirming of her 16 year old “forever” boyfriend and actively encouraged or approved of her early 20s being shaped by him and what he wanted. At the time she thought it’s what she wanted too - 10 years later they had an ugly breakup when she came to the realisation that none of it was her dream.

Encourage her to keep her friends close, never put the boyfriend over them. Does she talk to you openly, or does she have a female relative or older friend she opens up to? I’d hope she would keep talking to her trusted ones so that you can gently guide her.

Be there when they split up, and resist saying I told you so. One of my daughter’s friends thinks this, I’ve told her to be there for her friend when it goes wrong. I did bring my daughter up fairly grounded in reality though!

I have been with my husband 16 years. We met just after school. My little boy is 7 and has a girlfriend there already planning babies at 18 and they’ve already had a playground wedding. If your daughters happy then leave them to it.
