Does everybody’s teenager have this attitude/reply no matter what the subject? Does lack of reply or discussion cause worry?

My dd just says dunno to everything I rang gp about growing pains. I asked her where isit and she said dunno

Yep I get, “I’m aware” and also “who is it hurting?” if I ask for something unreasonable like coats or shoes or squash bottles to be put away.

'It's not deep'

"I know"

However this is lessening because I learnt when I started telling him something and he instructed with "I know" to just respond with "oh that's helpful"

And he soon learnt that if he interrupts with I know then he suffers the consequences when in fact he doesn't know and actually wasn't even listening to what I was saying in the first place

I get ' it's not deep' as well, and ' did I ask?' if I tell her something she thinks isn't very interesting.

Did l ask? 🤦🏽‍♀️ Get this all the time...

I get 'when'.
When I ask 'when what' I get back 'when did I ask?!'
Also 'did I ask' is said a lot.

BUT when they're in a good mood they are actually lovely funny kind caring people to be around!

I wonder that too. It's 100 times worse than 'I know' for some reason! Proper shutting the conversation down.
