And she said thank you at the time of receiving it, would you expect/hope for another acknowledgment later along the lines of "spent the money at a restaurant, was great, thanks again"?

No,not necessary as she’s already said thanks. For sure it’d be nice if she elaborated but teens dont always

BadDucks · 15/08/2020 23:52

Nope. DS has just been away I gave him £100 And he thanked me at the time. He has mentioned some things he bought whilst away but I wouldn’t expect another thank you.

CorianderLord · 15/08/2020 23:52

No, you thank a person once as standard. Any extra thanks are unnecessary

IHaveBrilloHair · 15/08/2020 23:53

I’m always a bit Hmm about people who need multiple thank you’s as it makes it seem that maybe they begrudge what they’ve given or want you to feel like you owe them something.

negomi90 · 16/08/2020 00:00

No - she thanked you when she got it.
Presumably she then added it to other holiday money she has from other sources and is thus wouldn't be able to say what your money actually went on.

AldiAisleofCrap · 16/08/2020 00:02

No I wouldn’t.

Thehogfatherstolemycurry · 16/08/2020 00:05

TheSmallAssassin · 16/08/2020 00:10

No, I wouldn't, either. Pretty unanimous here!
