after spending another evening with ds either hogging the comp or moaning that msn isn't working I wish it had never been invented. I never use it as I only have one person to talk to and she has disapeared

2shoes · 21/06/2006 22:46

Tortington · 21/06/2006 23:27

my daughter gets up early to use the computer - becuase if its not homework she wont get on it - me or dh are on it.

mell2 · 22/06/2006 09:23

Know what you mean 2shoes - my dd has nearly 300 addys (ridiculous!!) and when i tell her it's time to come off it takes her half an hour to say goodbye to everyone!

Confiscated the webcam last night as was fed up of her saying "mum you might be on webcam" as i swan around in my pj's

2shoes · 22/06/2006 10:52

oh you mean you don't stand in front of it so he is embarrassed

DS1 is obsessed. It drives me up the bloody wall. At least he has his own pc so he's not hogging the family one.

SKYTVADICT · 22/06/2006 10:57

DD1 discovered it and I though it was sweet until we got our telephone bill (which was for a dial up account). I am now trying to set up broadband but PC at home broken at the mo so she can't use it anyway!

DD was a nightmare with MSN, but she is now away at uni and often pops up to say hello to me when I'm on MSN.

Trouble is, I rarely get on now coz DS has just discovered MSN too and sits there listening to music and chatting, occasionally bursting into laughter.

2shoes · 22/06/2006 15:36

mosschops30 go into my documents should be a folder called my chat that is all I can find.

unless you save it i think it just disappears. my son plays games with kids all over the world, he is always trying to get on it argh!

DumbledoresGirl · 22/06/2006 16:03

Mosschops, I asked this a few months ago on MN. Click on File in your msn window and click on View Message History - if you have asked msn to record your convos that is. If not, you have to go for that option, I forget how but it was easy, I remember that!

DumbledoresGirl · 22/06/2006 16:06

I can understand how teenagers could spend a lot of time on msn. I only have a few contacts and, when it is active I find I can easily spend a few hours chatting.

300 addresses seems excessive though!
