Should I allow my 15 yr old to wear thongs?

My daughter Riley is 15 and wants to start wearing thongs becuase all the other girls do. I don't usually have a problem with whatever she chooses to do, but I just feel wierd about this.
My husband Matt, being the typically male, doesn't care and said I'm a slight hypocrite as I waer them myself and let my eldest wear them too.
I just don't want my daughter to be like the other girls I see with everything hanging out, or should I let her make her own choices? HELP!

i wear thongs as i don't like a visible panty line - it is not a sexual thing at all. So I would let dd wear them if she wanted.

I would advise that she wouldn't wear them under jeans though, as g-string poking out of the top of hipsters looks vile. Is prob best to go commando when wearing skinny fit jeans.
