Should I allow my 15 yr old to wear thongs?

My daughter Riley is 15 and wants to start wearing thongs becuase all the other girls do. I don't usually have a problem with whatever she chooses to do, but I just feel wierd about this.
My husband Matt, being the typically male, doesn't care and said I'm a slight hypocrite as I waer them myself and let my eldest wear them too.
I just don't want my daughter to be like the other girls I see with everything hanging out, or should I let her make her own choices? HELP!

I grew up calling knickers panties - but that wasn't in the UK and everyone called them that.

Think back to when you were pregnant with your 15 year old daughter. Obviously you have been there before.

I truly love that of all the pressing, life changing issues paying on your tiny mind atm the most urgent, requiring the thread to be started immediately, was the question of your teen's underwear. Nice priorities there Lauren.

God I would hate to have such a massive gap in my life that I needed to make up stories about a 15 year old's underwear.....sicko

OP, do you call boobs "titties"?

Can I just say, I read that as "pantry drawer" and wondered why OP's family kept their undercrackers in the kitchen.

Sorry, you lot get back to bashing the 'really rather crap at this game' troll.

  1. if the pain is agonising, wy wait until the following afternon to ask a bunch of randon imaginary truckers rathr than prhaps asking your midwife or phoning for an ambulance?

Shouldn't the discussion about panty 'draws' be occupying a whole section in 'Pedants Corner', um, which is where I often lurk

I'm actually feeling more disturbed by that spelling...

Panty-drawer! Panties, indeed. And names like Lauren and Riley - it's a Yank.

And a man.

Trollie, trollie, come back and play. I'm bored and even MIL and SIL threads aren't doing it for me today...... Lala laaa!

I don't know about the American angle.

Wouldn't the 'husband' have been called Chuck or Chip or Billy Joe Jim Bob or something?
