Photos of your tattoos?

I absolutely love tattoos, although currently have none myself. I’m absolutely fascinated by others choices and the reasoning for those.
I’m very tempted to get a very small tattoo near a scar (lower abdomen) that symbolises that I’m very lucky to be alive.

And my teenage mistakes - to be fair it is only the home made rubbish added on that was a mistake, the pro bits were ok but dated

Tattoo mistake would be the big black crucifix the full length of my calf.
I’m an atheist and always have been. It’s too big and solid black to be easily covered and it’s one of the hardest to cover in summer.

And I've just had a black rose to cover a hideous 90s mistake just below my c section scar

TheExecutionersBong it was a crappy, slightly naff moon with a smiling face with a river running through it lol. Not huge luckily (about the size of a tin of vaseline) so pretty easy to cover up.

samcro and dustarr73 thank you, I do love it very much! It took many, many hours in the chair - would you believe, that's not how it looked originally... something got very lost in translation with my first artist (he wasn't English and I think there were some communication issues) and it was very much NOT how I wanted or had asked for. So I had to find a new artist to completely re-work it. Was worth it in the end though.

This is how it looked originally. I had asked for realistic flowers that flowed together with very little bare skin in between them The most annoying thing is the original artist was very good at that style, I had seen his portfolio and that's why I chose him!

So it ended up taking twice as long in the chairs (5 hours for the original and another 5 hours for the cover up) and costing twice as much too!

This is one and two, the flower covered a scar from a car accident I was lucky to survive, and the additional notes were added a few years later to show the passage of time.

Three, very simple but I designed it that way.

Four, not quite a line from a song, done as I graduated uni and my life was very different to what I'd planned.

Five. I asked each of my closest friends to draw me a star, took them to my artist and once he'd placed those he did the rest freehand.

Six. Advice for life from some of my favourite books.

This is my brand new one. I got it this afternoon. It's my family and I and it represents our strength together in hard times.

Stag was my first tattoo and the back piece my second. The back piece was excruciatingly painful! I'm working on a wildlife THEM and planning to extend the sleeve upwards and over my shoulder to make the join with my wolf...so lots of foliage, wild flowers, birds, bees. I also want to start on another sleeve which will be a large fox, trees and a moon.

My god it’s really really hard to photograph your own arms! Here are mine, Mary’s not quite finished- it goes up onto my shoulder with like drawing of stained glass window behind and down to my elbow with flowers around it. Sleeve also goes up and over my shoulder. I have an old school gypsy lady with wolf hat on my back across my shoulders with roses either side too. Oh and a hand sized floral and mendhi piece on bottom of one leg/ankle. Oh and also an in between boob mendhi one!
