As said, i can only say as I see and I do not beleive babies are traumatised by being handed to another mother immediatly who they share dna with on birth and who raises them. I can’t lie about that. I just don’t.

The irony of using the slur “hysterical “ when criticising women who find the procurement of women’s wombs to satisfy a desire abhorrent.

If you’re going to quote a word someone has said you don’t need speech marks you need quote marks but more importantly you need to use the actual word they wrote.

The places which have the lowest regard for the rights of women and children will be the most affordable places to buy a womb and a baby.

Some of the hysteria is a little unwarranted. It’s like people are competing for the most hyperbolic response.

many surrogates are not vulnerable. An acquaintance of mine did it. She could not have babies, the price she paid was over 400k and was in the USA, the woman was far from vulnerable and this was a lifestyle choice she made, she enjoyed helping women, liked being pregnant, had had her kids, and liked the money for a years work. She was also hugely pampered throughout with everything paid for. From weekly massages to her groceries, and transportation and all medical bills paid for.

as much as I wouldn’t wish to do it myself. Pretending these are all vulnerable women is ridiculous. Many women do this through choice.

i don’t beleive she bought a baby or it was trafficked. It was not the woman’s egg, it was my acquaintances and her husband sperm. I believe she did rent a woman’s womb for nine months who was very happy to provide that service and I can say the child is very much loved, but it is their child. Not the woman’s.

Commercial surrogacy is illegal in the UK. I'm not surprised it's allowed in the US.

In the UK it's illegal to pay someone to be a surrogate. You are only allowed to pay expenses

The baby didn't get a choice. It was taken from it's mother at birth. Babies don't care about their genetic origin, they only know the mother they have lived within for nine months, they know the sound of her heart and her voice.
Pregnancy is a complex biological relationship between a mother and a child, wombs are not ovens and babies are not buns.
