Does anyone know what drug this is please? Is it speed or something else? It’s been ‘hidden’ in a tool tin, with a spoon.

I did worry this was the case, but I’ve never seen it before which is why I initially thought speed.

As it’s with the spoon that’s a LOT of heroin. Is it a teaspoon or dessert spoon? I’m asking for context as it’s difficult to tell from the photo.

Creamy coloured friable wax substance, with a peanut butter-y odour - Crack

Damp, creamy coloured powder with a weird chemical/solvent odour - Amphetamine

Pale brown powder with a vinegar/dusty odour - Heroin

That looks like a very large quantity of heroin. You might also find corresponding “straws” used to inhale the vapour given off by burning it, and possibly bits of tinfoil if they’re not heating it directly on the spoon.

I think the spoon looks like it’s previously been used to cook it on, but has lots of the substance residue on it now, so maybe is just being used to transfer it to foil.

OP; I just want to check that you definitely do have other grounds for suspicion that this is drug related?
And it isn’t just a bag of filler or something for DIY. Leaving so much of the stuff caked on the spoon is what seems unusual to me, but then if this is heroin then this person has a very large quantity of it, so perhaps can afford to be wasteful.

I think it’s the body of an electric screwdriver, you can see the different bits in the case with it.

I don't think it's drugs, too much powder is left on the spoon. My ex dh did a lot of welding and used various powders.

I thought heroin too but looking again it could just be someone's brown sugar stash and a tea spoon for stiring it into tea/coffee. The spoon almost looks tannin stained rather than burnt but the underside might tell a different story.

You use a spoon to make crack, from cocaine. The spoon may show soot or residue marks underneath but typically the bowl will be clean but could be miscoloured depending on the metal. You can also find bicarb, and lighters. Heroin if smoked is smoked off tin foil , not from a spoon. However heroin can be cooked up on a spoon and again you can find cigarette filters and lighters that are used to clean the liquid that's drawn up.

That spoon looks pastey, it doesn't look like either tbh. It looks like it's been used to measure paste/powder from the bag and as it's in a tool box I wouldn't jump to conclusions unless you have a strong reason to suspect drugs.

I agree with this. If I found this in our tool box, I'd assume it's some kind of filler and the spoon used to mix a small amount into a paste. I have no reason to suspect drugs though, so my mind wouldn't go there.

No decent addict would leave that much powder on a spoon.

Could be cocaine paste.
